My parents want to take DS and nephew to WDW for a long weekend in December. 12/15- 12/19.... Last night my dad called me wondering if we want to go, as well. I think they were a little nervous about bringing the boys alone (4 & 5 y.o). Anyways, I was wondering about MVMCP...how is it, how crowded is MK and is it worth keeping DS and nephew up past their bedtime for. We will be visiting the parks, as well..but this is something that DH and I have wanted to do for years and haven't had a chance.

Thanks!!! :pug: :pug: :pug:

It is a really fun thing to do and I would recommend it to anyone. It's nice because you get the parks to yourself because it is less crowded than normal. I think it would be something fun for your little ones because of the special parades and shows, or it would be nice for you and your DH to do together while the kiddies are in bed if your parents would watch them for you!

If your children are sleepy heads they won't enjoy it but it is lots of fun. There is a Christmas parade and free Christmas picture of your family and free hot chocolate and cookies. There are lots of shows if it happens to be crowded but usually there are few lines for any rides especially if you go early. They let you in at 5 and you can ride rides in tomorrowland while the park empties. Be sure you catch the snowflakes at main street. It is magical.

Does anyone know if there is a special fireworks show a la Hallowishes for the MVMCP this year? Thanks!

Have holiday versions of Wishes during MVMCP :cool1: :goodvibes  :wave2:

Actually, the fireworks this year are "all new" and called "Holidaywishes" so they could be quite different from the regular Wishes, just like MNSSHP fireworks that were called Hallowishes were NOTHING like Wishes at all.

We'll soon find out November 27 and hopefully someone will report back.

I have to say that I didn't love the Christmas party! I thought it was super crowded, the kids didn't want to sit through the shows, and it took FOREVER to get our freaking picture taken. To us it was not worth the extra $$. Our boys were 3 & 5 at the time. They were tired and very cranky by the end of the night and because we were up so late it took a long time to get going in the morning. I would rather go back when it is just dh and I and we can see the shows, but again it's alot of money for shows and not all the rides, IMO.

There are alot of ppl here that go every year and love it, so I guess everyone is different
