Would it be worth getting tickets for one evening for DH and myself? We're not dancers (well, I am, but in all our 15 years together, I've never seen DH dance and I'm not sure I want to :rotfl2: ). But is the comedy club and adventurer's club worth spending the money for an evening?

Hey, just realized I got upgraded to "mouseketeer"! :cool1:

Yes, we go atleast 4 or 5 times on our trip. It's a great time!

It would be something that you could try once if you went to the Comedy Club and Adventurer's club. We don't particularly like PI but we have been a couple of times just to see everything and to see if we would like it or not.

We went, mostly because we had tickets that included it, and weren't very impressed. If we had that evening to do over, we'd spend it at the resort or a theme park. We're not drinkers or dancers though, and I'm sure that made a big difference.

We went to the comedy club during our trip last March and had a blast! I've never been to the Adventurer's club. I think it might be possible to just buy tickets for the comedy club. If you're looking for nightlife, be sure to check out Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk-- piano dueling bar!!

We like both the Adventurer's Club and the Comedy Club and think they are great. That said we were very disappointed in PI on our trip in October. We do not like the new format, and all the young one's that were around.
The atmosphere was just very different.
I don't think we will go out of our way to return soon, which is too bad since both of the clubs mentioned are fun.

The Comedy Warehouse and the AC are 'must do' on every WDW vacation, usually 4 or more nights out of 10. Our routine is the hit the early CW show then scoot over to the AC where we usually stay the night, sometimes doing a second CW show on the way out. Give the Adventurer's Club a little time. Go to the downstairs main lounge, have a cold one and relax. Hilarity will break out shortly.

I haven't been to the Comedy Club, but LOVE the Adventurer's Club. We usually spend the entire evening there since the shows change throughout the night. When we're on a budget we usually skip it though since it's a very pricey admission charge for just one club.

Definitely give both places a shot. DH and I went there for the first time during our 9/04 trip and had a riot. We tried hitting a couple of the other clubs but ended up back at AC for the most part... and then caught another show at CW before we ended the night. (2 nights in a row :rotfl: )

Another thing, Disney has a promotion called Carpe' PM in which you buy one night's pass for the regular price and for $5 more you get the next 5 consecutive nights also. It would be a shame if you liked it a lot but couldn't spring for another night's ticket.

Thanks for all the replies. I think we'll probably check it out. This Jellyrolls place - how far is it from Pleasure Island. Is it walkable and does anyone know what kind of admission they charge?

Jellyrolls is at the Boardwalk so you would have to take a bus over from PI. I believe I read somewhere on the board that they was a cover charge.

Five dollar cover as of Jan. '05 and worth every penny. Easy access to the Boardwalk area is one of the many reasons we're Swan and Dolphin fans. Going from PI catch any bus to Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club or Boardwalk. They're often the same bus but not always and once at any of those resorts it's a stroll to Jellyrolls.

Hi - new to this board - I usually am in "Weddings and Honeymoons" threads, but I used to live in Orlando and went to PI often. The last two times DH and I were at PI we were able to get a ticket to just one club - but if I recall correctly the Comedy Club was not part of that policy. We got tickets to Mannequins because I like to dance - he likes to drink beer and stand next to me while I dance :rotfl2:

If you go, Mannequins is 21 and up so there aren't teens there and the rotating dancefloor and steam and confetti drops are fun.

If you like 1970's and 80's music 8-Trax is the best, the dance floor is small and crowded but it's always a fun group and you can stand above the dancefloor and enjoy the music. Motion is good if you like hip-hop (we don't). The Beach Club has live bands (usually cover bands but I've seen some fairly well-known Florida bands there too) and a great bartender.

Anyway, I think PI has changed it's format to more closely match Universal Studios City Walk where anyone of any age can walk around and you pay an individual price to get into most of the clubs.

If you are a passholder or have the Disney Dining Card you get a discount for full admission to PI.

I had my bachelorette party at Jellyrolls - FANTASTIC!! We had a lot of fun :goodvibes and the small cover charge is totally worth it. We took a cab to Boardwalk from our resort (CB) it was just easier than trying to get a bus and we didn't want to drive.
Have a great trip!

::yes::

I *love* the AC but *hate* the new format. Really kills the 'adult' mood when you see three year olds jamming by the West End Stage with their moms. I mean, yay for kids and all, but at PI?
