Jude, (my 11 year old standard poodle) has been having urinary bleeding and signs of obstruction. His prostate is enlarged and his urethra is enflamed although the vet didn't feel a stone. I am almost praying that there is a stone that can be removed. He had a steroid injection and is on another type of antibiotic and there has been no improvement. I am afraid that he has something worse. He is scheduled for xrays tomorrow, abdominal and chest, and an ultrasound on Thursday. His appetite picked up a bit but then I have been adding canned food and boiled chicken. I know everyone thinks that there dog is perfect, but Jude has been a perfect gentleman since he came to live with us 3 years ago at the age of 8. He has never done anything wrong. He is loving, gentle and sweet. He has been my best friend, never leaving my side when I was recovering from rotator cuff surgery. He is so gentle that he still has his stuffed red lobster that he came to our house with. I am in tears. I am praying that I am crying for nothing. thanks for listening.
Sending good thoughts your way.

Pixie Dust for Jude.
our furbabies are family. my basset hound was hit by a car about a month ago, and i was beside myself-he'd never had any kind of injury before (he's 5) and i didn't realize how much i loved him until i thought i might lose him. thank goodness, my baby is fine now, and i pray jude will be too.
