Two adults and two children ages 3 and 5. Which would you choose??

Hi,

I love WL!!! Have a good time!!

Allison

The pool at Y&B club is amazing. Kids that age will love it (mine do) It is a great location and close to 2 parks.

I love Y&B, my favorite place.

:rolleyes1

Poly poly poly.....

:rotfl2: Everyone vote Poly, her husband's trying to make her stay somewhere else :rotfl2:

I'm assuming money is not a consideration here so I chose the Poly - loved it for quick access to monorail to MK and to TTA.

We also enjoy rooms with a day bed.

We also loved concierge service there - thought it was great with a toddler

No, no, no... everyone vote honestly so dh can't say we threw the vote!! ;)

I voted WL.

I really love Poly, but, I really loved WL too! With the kids you'll be able to book bunk beds, which they'll like, and I think they'll really think the theming is cool of the old west.

Money is a factor, but with the package we're doing the price really isn't that much different when you break it down. I think the Poly is $85 a day more than the WL... BWI/YC/BC is about $15 more per day than the WL. WL is obviously the least expensive choice. It's just hard to choose when you've already stayed at each resort and liked all of them.

Keep the votes coming!!!!

We loved the WL and the YC, the Poly was just so-so in our book. We were there for the Halloween Party, had some mixups with our room, as in we couldn't get into it till 4:30, had a 5:30 PS for O'hana. They cleaned the carpet in our room and did not notify front desk so other room arrangements could be made, left us in a lurch. Did comp our dinner but we had a hard time eating and getting the girls into costume in time to get to the party by 7. Pool wound up being closed so they didn't get to swim, just a comedy of errors. At the age your kids are I would recommend the WL because of the theming, but the monorail convenience is great. We loved the Yacht club, even though SAB was partially closed, the BW pool was offered as an alternative.

Erika~ Given the age of your children, I'm assuming you will be spending the majority of your time at MK. I would definetly choose the Poly for several reasons. 1. I have 3 boys under 4 and they loved the Poly. They also love trains (Thomas, all kinds) so the monorail was an attraction in itself. They loved riding it to the parks or just taking rides to dinners at the Contemp or GF. I even used it on occasion to put the twins to sleep while big brother watched the different resorts & fireworks. 2. The pool at the Poly is fabulous. Its zero entry so everyone enjoyed it. 3. Did I mention the monorail- stroller rode on so I didn't have to wake sleeping babies to fold it up. 4. Kona (TONGA TOAST) and Ohana. 5. They also have the best childcare on property. 6. because of its close proximity taking breaks in the afternoon were a snap. 7. The electrical light parade goes right by the Poly in fact my oldest son thought this parade was just put on every night for him ;) Each night we sat outside our room with night night snacks while the brothers were asleep inside andwatched the parade. then we went in watched one bedtime story and it was off to sleep. Very magical.
I have also stayed at WL. I enjoy the resort very much but I think with small children having monorail access trumps it. Good Luck I hope you make the choice thats right for your family.

Twinglemum - Great minds think alike! ;) Of course we're mothers, so that automatically means we know best. :flower:

Goodness, you have stayed just about everywhere! I would be between the Poly and the BC. The Poly for its beauty, convenience and relaxed feeling. The BC because of its pool. That is 3 things against one, so I will just HAVE to say the Polynesian.

...No dangling chads to argue about...no recount to consider...POLY!!! :teacher:

you don't say *when* you're going... that now helps me decide where to stay. my kids are also 5 and 3, and in 3 weeks we'll be on our 4th trip in 2 years with them. we've stayed at the GF, Poly, then a split trip WL/BCV, and upcoming next month a split trip WLV/Poly CLV.

what i'd do if i were you is if it's going to be hot weather and you'll do a fair amount of pool time, definitely beach club. if you won't use the pool too much, do the poly for the ease of transportation to MK, viewing fireworks and electric water parade from beach.

I voted WL because it is my favorite and I have not stayed there in a while but it was hard to decide between it and the Poly. The monorail acces is great for the kids. The pool is better at WL, IMHO and it has the boat transportation so it is almost as good.

Although SAB is a really nice pool it is so big it can be overwhelming almost. Besides the MK will probably be your main park so I would stay with WL or Poly!

bellebud - our trip is the first week of May :) We aren't big pool people, ds 5 loves the pool, but ds 3 is afraid of the water after a bad incident at the WL kiddie pool last year when he slipped and fell under for a second. He still remembers it! I guess out of our 8 days we'll hit the pool twice on average.

loribell - MK is definitely our main park. We will probably spend most of our time there. I guess that means we should do Poly or WL... but dh thinks the nightlife is better on the boardwalk for the kids. It's not very easy to get to and from the boardwalk from the Poly. But hopefully we'll have some of those extra magic hours for night time!!! I sure wish the park hours for May would come out.

Thanks so much for everyone's help and voting! We are still on the fence. As usual!!!!!

Since kids will be in tow, I voted for the Poly for ease and convenience.

The WL is where we are staying at NEXT year, October 2006. The kids are going to love it. And DW says it will speak to the outdoors redneck in me. :rotfl2:
