Here's our gang: 4 adults, 1 5 year old kiddo... all love going to the pool and horsing around (pun intended since we're talking SSR...I know, I know, it's lame), however most of our time will be spent in the parks. We will have a car, but are unsure if we'll drive to the parks everyday. In any event, please vote for where you think our family would be best suited considering our circumstances and thanks in advance!!!

Grandstands /Springs /Congress/Paddocks/Carousel in that order for goofing around and the pool.

Since you have mostly adults in your group, I think I'd request Congress Park. Why? Because it is the closest to DTD, has that view, a cool playground for the 5 year old and a nice size quiet pool. If you drive there's also an exit/entrance gate nearby and if not you are the closest to the DTD resort busses. You're about 5-10 minute walk to the main pool, Community Hall and food court, but that's not such a hardship.

Second choice would be Springs or Grandstand areas. They both have themed pools with water play areas and are in stone's throws of each other. Grandstand is first on the bus pickup/dropoff route and Springs is the last.

If you do end up in the Paddocks, request to be near the Paddocks pool (which puts you by the foot bridge to the Springs). The Carousel is best if you have your own car and want that quick entry/exit out the main gate.

Personally, I really like Congress Park, but I voted Grandstand because of the mix. The 5 y.o should have a blast with the horse theming adn the play area, and the adults might appreciate the bar at the pool. It makes for an easy pool afternoon without having to move too far away from the villa by going to the main pool.

Congress Park would be a second choice, but does the quiet pool have a children's area? Or, if the 5 y.o is a good swimmer, I guess it doesn't matter . . .
