We've only been to WDW twice and have stayed at WL (woodsview) both times and we loved it so much, we're afraid to try anywhere else!
While I'm planning our next trip, I was tempted by the convenience and attractiveness in a different way of BC. BUT, we're a family who does like having some quiet, down time to counteract the frenetic activity level of the parks. At WL, you can truly, deeply relax amid beautiful surroundings. We've always had very friendly, prompt service across the board there.
We prefer to use a rental car and not wait for Disney transport (aside from the great boat ride to MK and CT for Chef Mickey's!), so I can't comment on transportation.
Good luck!

and we didn't want to come back) we were upgraded to the 7th floor. Oddly enough, our room wasn't any larger than the ones we normally get, but we had a great view of the castle. The time before this, we stayed on the 1st floor... I think the room number was 2123 or something like that near the exit to the pool. It was quite large, with the bedroom area separated by two doors. The "living room" area had a couch, coffee table, and chairs. It was plenty large enough for us.
