Please tell me others do this...

Oh yeah, that's me 1000000%. There's something about Disney, the man, the world, the movies, everything that gets to me like nothing else. Its great, isn't it!? I'm so with you!! :thumbsup2

Okay - I continue to be pathetic. I opened a Disney Trivia book - saw a picture of a little girl eating a Mickey Ice Cream Bar and immediately got all teary. Lord, help me! At this rate I'm going to miss the whole first day because I'll be touring in tears!

This is so weird - I am SO not an emotional person. WHAT IS IT WITH DISNEY!!!!!

It is two hours later and I'm getting teary AGAIN! And I'm not pregnant or hormonal!!!!

Sigh. It's all good.

Thats usually what my wife is calling me when I watch the dvd. :rotfl2: The way I keep from getting the Disney blues is to help others plan their trips too. We are already planning our cruise (hopefully) for 2011. We did our reservations for our room for Dec. in January for this years trip! I have planned 4 other trips for family and friends in the mean time!
The moment that gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME is standing on the bridge to Tomorrow land watching "Wishes" holding my daughters hand.
SUCK IT UP YA BIG BABY!!!!! :rotfl2:
Your going to have an amazing magical trip!! Have fun and enjoy yourself. If you find you are getting the blues afterward then come here to the DIS borads to get your WDW fix!!

The first time we went to the World DD was 3 and neither DH or I had been before. We stayed off site and I have video of the welcome gate as we drove through and our DD singing the Mickey Mouse March in the backseat. More video of us on the ferry heading into the MK and me pointing out the castle and her little mouth just dropping open and asking if Cindarella would be home...

OH but the boo hoo moment, oddly enough came as we made it down to the end of Main Street for our first rope drop and back then there was an announcement then told everyone to have a magical day and Zipadee Doh Da started playing on the speakers and I took my first step into the magic with a lump in my throat and tears on my cheeks. With possible one of the cheeriest songs known to man playing and the sun bright in the sky and a chubby little hand in mine I'm crying like a big old baby and I'm glad. I'm glad that I'm not so jaded that I can't bask in the magic myself.

Enjoy the emotions! Own them!

yup. you are not alone. I get choked up thinking of past, present and future vacations there. The excitement that pours out of me when I talk Disney is unlike anything else. Some people think I am a total whack job, and then others get it. I prefer those people :lmao:

Are you in my head?? :lmao:

I TOTALLY get what you are saying...this is my first trip too and I've waited "all my life" to get to Disney! :goodvibes I do think I am more excited than the kids. They are thrilled, but sometimes I can't sit still I am so excited! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these boards because they raise my excitement level even more. But I don't want time to go by any faster because then it will be over and I won't have it to look forward to!

I told DH to watch out when I see the castle because I probably will get all teary. Can't wait! :cloud9:

I know how you feel because I am the same way!!!I had never been to Disney before and I always knew that when I had a child that I would want to take them and give them that experience.I booked our very first Disney trip in 12/08 for 4/09(it was a first trip for the three of us)..and just planning it brought tears to my eyes!I just couldn't believe that we were really going! It felt like such a dream to me!Oh and when our arrival date finally came it was one of the best feelings in the world!Getting on the Magical Express bus brought tears to my eyes and I was like that the whole time during our trip, from seeing each park for the very first time,to seeing my son and hubby's expressions,to seeing my son's excitement when he met a character.....our trip was one of the best memories of our lives!!I became obsessed with Disney after our visit and we are now going for a second time in December!!!!I never understood how people could love Disney so much(before I went of course)and now I am one of those people that things it's one of the most beautiful and magical places on earth!!!
