I couldn't pass up the free dining so I booked a trip at at a value resort, ASmo. I've never stayed at a value before. It will be me, DH, DD9, DS5 and DS 4 months. Have any of you ever stayed at a value with two kids and an infant? If so, how was it? I know I'll be in the room with the baby, but my other kids will be at the pool or parks at all times. We are the type of people who use the room to shower and sleep - that's it.

If you only use the room to shower and sleep you will be fine! We have done ASMo 3 times and one of those times we also had a full size Graco pack n play set up. It was a little too close for comfort, but we did just fine! The kids will love this resort and all the oversized movie icons. If your DS5 is into Toy Story at all, then call the resort and request either the Buzz or Woody building of Toy Story. There is a 38 foot tall Buzz in the courtyard! My DS4 (almost 5) thinks it's his second home. I really do not think you will be disappointed! I am one who would rather save money on the hotel and put it towards something fun in the parks! Enjoy!

You sound like our family... rooms used basically just to shower, change (for pool/etc. LOL) and sleep. That's it...

And we've done all 5 of us in values before (when our youngest was young enough for us to do 5 in a room) and had no problems at all. You'll be fine. :)

We've stayed with one kid and an infant at all three (value, mod, deluxe) and I have never had a problem with any. The major concern is the values can be alittle tight on space-- but for a close family it shouldn't bother you, and kids usually don't notice those things because they're too worried about pool and park time. I found that sometimes the values can be alittle more noisy because of their layout (only because my little one is a very light sleeper) so I usually just leave the TV on to cover it.
And you will probably be out of the room more than you think.
Have a great trip!

Thanks so much for the replies. They make me feel much better. The fact is, this is an impromptu trip and the $500 difference between value and moderate really makes a difference.
