We just returned from our trip yesterday
1 ok when is a good time to vist? We love warm weather for swimming.
September is a nice time, right after Labor day. Weather is still Warm and sometimes can be hot.
2. where do we fly into?
Agree with the previous poster
3. what kind of transportation to air port?
We have used Supershuttle in the past, pretty reasonable if you don't plan on visiting anyother parks other than Disney, but if you think about something else, look for a rental car and get a map. People on this list can be pretty helpful with directions as well.
4 do they have a dining plan?
Don't know.
5, where is an inexpensive hotel?
Lots of them in the area, we just stayed at the Anabella hotel (behind DCA) I would check out the Disney site good neighboor list and then go to each of the hotels websites to find a deal. Most are walking distance from the entrance. Mousesavers.com also has a deal with HoJo, but I find that more a difficult walk across a busy street without a good light.
5. what is the difference between the land and the world? fyi we could spend 5 days in magic kingdom alone!
We have, but we are also Disney Folks and tend to take it easy on vacation, doing a little at a time each day, and we park hop alot. If you go in the off season, they only run Fireworks and major parades on the weekends (Friday, Saturday) and some of the shows are scaled back during the week days. Use your weekdays to hit the attractions and then weekends to do the shows and events. If you do plan to do Knott's berry farm, I would suggesting doing it first, because it does not have the same Magic as Disney. Fun rides at Knotts.
