Please tell me anything you know: is cowboy hat coming back???

I traded my extra cowboy hat away and now the person wants what he traded me back b/c he says its a bad deal. I don't think so, b/c as far as I know I don't think the hats are coming back this Halloween, only the vests. Does anyone know? If they are coming back, I'll trade him back b/c I can understand why he would think the trade was "bad" (if he traded for something that came back). Any rumors/absolute knowledge/ideas would be appreciated. What I traded it for was a firewall. Thanks!

it could be one of the surprises but from what i can tell hats arent coming back. it only says vests. however cant be certain

I'd say it's highly likely because the top hats came back with the new
Mansion brown release, so I expect cowboy hats will be back, too.

If he makes a trade today and the hats are not being sold, he cannot change
his mind if they come out tomorrow.

I traded for a blue penny press the VERY morning the presses were prizes
in the host quest. I would NEVER think to ask for my stuff back because
I was able to get a free press later.

It was my own bad luck, and it wasn't my trading partner's fault the host
quest prize was the same item.

And the reason why I think hats will come back is that new players
who haven't gotten complete costumes from first releases would want
to have the full outfit. So even though the red cowboy vest is coming
out, I just can't see VMK offering it without the pants, the boots, and
the hat.

I heard the pants and boots are also part of the native american costume.

Eh. I traded for a full gold dress and full (gray, luckily) haunted mansion suit about a month ago but it was my fault because I was too impatient to wait for this month. I wouldn't ask for my stuff back and neither should he. If he couldn't wait to see if it came out for sure or not, that's his problem, not yours.

If you had told him "Oh there's no way they'll ever be out again I promise" then yeah, it'd be unfair, but this is the beginning of a costume month with a lot of surprises.

I dont think you should trade back bc he had to think before doing the trade .. If cowboy pants come back, I wont go back to the person I traded with and say hey I made a bad trade ..

LOL that room is my good friend Cocolian's. She has now traded all 45 fire walls for inferno and stitch hat. For the cowboy, the vest and shoes are definitely coming out. The shoes are part of the native american suit, although people call them cowboy shoes. I thinmk they'll have new stuff for the mystery items, not things like that. A good example was the king's crown.

It's interesting... here is MY story of asking for a trade back

When I first started playing I went to Disneyland and they handed me about 15 gold ear cards....before the codes went bad..LOL I was able to enter codes for about 6 of them - 2 to my girls, 1 to me, and 2 to friends....I had one left to trade. My youngest wanted a princess dress SO badly....one of my "friends" - just on my list, really didn't know her, came into my room and asked if I had gold ears for trade. I said yes and when we traded she put a pink princess top (just the top) into the window. I offered up gold ears and a magic mirror and we traded. It was only the top - but it was a start, right? My daughter was so excited.

Well, the next day that "friend" comes back into my room and says, "I want my top back".

I said, "why?"

she says, "because it a bad trade gold ears are not rare you did not tell me"

I was kind of upset, but I said, "uh ok"

and I traded it back to her for my mirror and my gold ears. Then I deleted her from my friends list...

wonder how she'll feel about that trade in about a week

I would say a trade is a trade. I traded a crown for blue sorcerer ears (other persons choice from my offer) about a month ago. That was before we knew what was coming out but then the girl I traded with messaged me a bunch of times that she wanted to wear the hat to play cute or boot and the messages kept coming. I told her if she wanted to trade back it's fine with me just come meet me and we would trade. A few days later here she comes I start to trade her and... ...she says I traded your crown but can I give you these? She puts up three pairs of blue sneakers!!! I told her I had no problem trading back I wouldn't want to take something from her she loved but...I want my crown back. A day or so later she tracked me down with a crown and we traded back. My advice would be however save the trouble a trade is a trade and it's not like he got nothing for his firewall.


OT: Peasy I have a full pink dress your daughter can wear and then when they come back out she can just give it back. If you want pm me and we can meet up to trade.

It is my belief that the entire cowboy suit is coming back. I base this on the fact that another vmk site has questions to yavn just like the dis does. In the most recent replies on the other site Yavn implied it was coming back.

Just like everything else on VMK, it was not directly answered LOL. So there is wiggle room. but I believe it will be.

No problem :0) My daughter was so happy with yellow too. I haven't told her blue is coming yet, I know she will ask me a million times if it is out yet since Cinderella is her favorite. I will just surprise her with it. She is all too happy to be "Belle" for now.

No, no thread-jacking at all It's totally fine, and I'm happy my thread could provide grounds for a trade. I was also gonna say I have an extra pink dress I would not mind giving to whoever's daughter needed it....I have a bit of cash saved up to buy the halloween stuff, so I can buy another dress when it comes out, and that would be one more thing she wouldn't have to buy. So unless you two already made a deal, let me know if you want my pink dress and it's yours! 0_o just realized tho, I MAY not have it...but if I do, it's yours, free, no payback required. PM me if you want it, and if I have it, then cool deal. If not, then you have another option so yay

As for being rude for asking for a trade back...I will say in his defense that the pm said something like this (this is from my bad memory): "Hey Me.a can I have my Herbie couch and fire wall back for the cowboy hat? I think it may have been a bad deal. Pretty please?" So it was not mean or demanding at all, and the pretty please was there at least. I'm not mad at him for asking for it back. I'm just in a quandary b/c if the hat is coming back, I don't want to trade back, but if it's not, I definitely want to! Of course, once the hat comes back (if it does) it will be a moot point b/c he will for sure want to trade me back then, and I won't want to. And if it does not, then I will def want to trade back but he may NOT want to then. Get it? Arg I just wish I knew! Also, I think I may have sent him a pm saying I would trade back before I really thought about it. If I did say "ok, I'll trade back", do you all think it's bad for me to say "nvm, I changed my mind?" Does that put me in the same place he is for asking for the tradeback? Or am I allowed to say yes and then change my mind b/c of advice I received? I mean, I know I'm "allowed" to do what I want, I'm just speaking of ethics here. You all know I like to be fair and honest in vmk, with everyone. I just DON'T KNOW! Arg this is a tough decision.

And on another note: I made a trade last night. It's too late (b/c I would NOT ask her to trade back), but I would like opinions on whether or not it was a good trade for me. She wanted my red crate (my only, which I just recently traded for after long discussion over DIS pm's about it. Note: I wasn't trying to get the crate, the person who traded it to me was trying to get what I traded, and the crate was part of their offer). Anyway, last night: we negotiated a lot, and this girl is the one that I think tried to cheat me before and went back on at least 2 trades we decided on. anyway, what she gave me for only the red crate (beta) was: 2 pirate couches, 2 full stools, one fire window, Jolly Roger pin, and Toucan Pin. I had all those things already, but only one of each pin. Doesn't matter though, b/c I love pirate quest stuff and like to have as much as I can for my many pirate theme rooms.

Do ya'll think that was fair trade for me? She thought it was too much, and she did wear me down (I wanted another fire window and the pirate rug too). For me, I think that's a good haul for just a red box, but it IS beta. I have not seen that many red crates in the game but SHE said 'they are not that rare, they are "common beta" (her words) and my friend has 24 of them'. I dont' think they are that "common" and I'm sure she was saying that to make me think it wasn't worth as much (if her friend had 24, wouldn't she try to get one from them? If I had 24 of anything, no matter HOW rare, I would not be picky about what I got for it. Even if it was inferno or stitch hat...heck if I had 24 I would GIVE some away to ppl on here that wanted them!) Of couse I know better about the value of the crate...I THINK...but anyway...did I make a good trade? I'm happy, but could I/should I have gotten more for the crate? Could I be wrong about its value?
