Please Tell Me All About the DPS "Romantic Photo Shoot" & the Album You Receive!

Hey, all! I've done a search and have come up short concerning my questions!
I'm having an engagement photo shoot done in a couple of weeks at the Magic Kingdom and need some details if you've done the "romantic honeymoon photo package." Its the one listed on the disneyweddings.com site, but they don't give many details at all, even over the phone!

Is there a certain photographer we should request based on your experience? How soon should we do that? Should I confirm my appointment at some point before-hand?

Tell me about the 20-print 4"-by-6" album they give you - how long does it take to get it? Do they ship it to you at home? Is it like a regular photo album where the pictures can be taken out/replaced by others in clear sleeves or are the pictures printed on the pages themselves and bound into the album?

The "keepsake" photos are 4"-by-6" prints of ALL the rest of the shots taken, correct? And what's this about proofs? Can you order enlargements/reprints of some of the shots? How much are these photos - an arm and a leg, I assume? Is there any chance of getting a CD of the high-res photo files so we can use our own printing service? (yeah, right, I know!)

As you can see, I need LOTS of help concerning the details of this package! Thanks so much in advance!!

Keep in mind that Disney is not consistent and changes their minds daily ! That being said, we did the honeymoon shoot at AK, but we did get our photos to view on line in less than two weeks. Then a couple weeks later we got the album at the address requested (I asked for it to be delivered to my office as I did not want it sitting on my porch in the weather until I got home). The album is a very nice white leather with a gold castle on the cover. The photos are sealed in the pages, which are a thicker, mat-like material. So you can't remove them. Then we received the rest of the photos that were not in the album, just loose.

You can request a photographer, but it is not guaranteed. We had Ty for our MK shoot and Paul for our Honeymoon shoot and both were fabulous. If you have any specific locations you want photos, let DPS know ahead of time if possible, that way your photographer can research what may or may not be possible.

You can order prints and enlargements. I think the 8x10 ran $30, 5x7 , I think was $20. You can go from a 4x5 all the way up to a huge wall portrait, mounted, canvas, etc... The prices weren't as bad as I thought they would be. If you want more specifics, let me know and I can look stuff up when I get home. I don't have any of that at work.

As for purchasing the CD, I would ask DPS. If you do the MK, wedding or Honeymoon shoot, they can all be included on a high res CD for a mere $1000.

After our wedding and moving to a new house, followed by a last-minute return to WDW for the Christmas celebrations, I haven't even ordered any of our reprints or enlargements yet ! Maybe I will get this done before our first anniversary ! Hope that helps. If you want more info, let me know !
