Where did you stay? How long? Did you go immediately after the ceremony/reception? If you were initially torn between two destinations how did you decide-or did you decide to do both?

Thanks for any and all stories.:)

My honeymoon was a wedding gift of a night at the local holiday inn. That was it.

My honeymoon was 3 nights at the Don Q Inn. We're now divorced.

I've never had one, but we never had a wedding either.:p

Are you and Fred going to have a honeymoon sometime soon, Ethel?:)

DH and I both agreed that we wanted to honeymoon at WDW. :) We stayed at the GF for 7 nights. We got married on Friday, June 2nd and flew to WDW at 8:00am Saturday, June 3rd! We were exhausted! It was either fly out at 8:00am or later in the afternoon and we didn't want to wait that long.

we got married at wdw and stayed there for our honeymoon. we were there for 3 weeks (including the wedding). we stayed at the beach club and moved there from our room at po-rs right after our reception (we actually checked in in our wedding attire, which garnered lots of stares, LOL). the next day we met friends and family at the mk. the day after that we told everyone we weren't spending anymore time with them. :p :o :smooth:

When we were planning, we had it narrowed down to Jamaica (Sandals or something else all-inclusive) or a train tour of Canada. Two totally different vacations and climates since we were getting married in September. We decided on the train tour because we knew it was a "once in a lifetime" and we thought we'd have a better chance to get to Jamaica at another time in our lives. Besides, after months of stress I didn't feel like having a vacation in my bathing suit since I hadn't quite gotten to the weight I wanted to be married in (still haven't for that matter :D)

We left the day after our wedding and flew into Montreal. We stayed at the Queen Elizabeth hotel (best known for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "love in"). We stayed in Montreal for three days and then took the train to Quebec City. We stayed there for two days at the Chateau Frontenac. Without a doubt, the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed in!

We then boarded the train again. We had an overnight on the train on bunkbeds...not overly romantic and a little crammed, but worked for comic relief! Our last stop was Nova Scotia where we stayed for 2 more days. We stayed at the Hotel Halifax and even though they said it was a 5-star hotel, compared to the others we had stayed in it was very disappointing. We still had a great time at the casino, whale watching, etc.

It was the most incredible journey and we were right...we'd never ever do it with kids (too much packing and unpacking) and we'd never do it after the kids were grown because it was so much moving around. It was the perfect trip at the perfect time. I'd recommend it to anybody!

we just had ours... it was ten years late but it was worth the wait :) we wnt to Hawaii and renewed our vows on the beach.

It was a dream wedding!

Ours was at WDW, we stayed at the POFQ for 2 weeks. We left very early the next morning and were really tired. We were complimentary bumped to first class but I slept the whole ride. lol.

LOL I just posted about my honeymoon on another thread! We went to Hawaii--Maui and the Big Island, with one layover night in Honolulu. We were married on Saturday and left on Monday, which was just perfect. We didn't have to worry about laundry and packing until after the big day, and on Sunday we could just relax and see family who flew in for the wedding.

We weren't torn about the destination. I'd always wanted to go to Hawaii, and DH had been to Kauai and loved it. So no arm-twisting, but we had to pick which islands, which was difficult. We plan on going back someday, so I can see Kauai!

Now boo, if you are looking for dirty stories, I have told you, this is not the way to go about it.

Ward and I went to a nice hotel, and played golf.

We left the morning after our reception. Or, actually as it turned out - about 4 hours after we actually went to bed. Ugh.

We took a 4 day cruise with Carnival Cruises, and 3 days at the Wilderness Lodge in WDW.

It was a good honeymoon. :)

We were married on a Saturday and flew to Hawaii on our honeymoon Sunday. I picked the spot :teeth: Dh had already been there 2 times once in high school and once when he was in the marines. But I had never been and was dying to go.

I of course am not married so I have never had a honeymoon BUT my future husband whoever he shall be has no choice in this matter.

We are honeymooning in disney for at least 10 days at a good resort no questions asked.:D

We got married on the beach in Cozumel and so we stayed there for a week and went Diving. So pretty so perfect so sunburned LOL

10 days in the British Virgin Islands. The Bitter End Yacht Club in Virgin Gorda. The resort is only accessible via boat, there are no roads overland across the Island.

We were married on a Saturday evening, and did not leave til Monday, so we had all of Sunday to recuperate.

There are so many amazing places to go. Where are you guys thinking of??

We honeymooned at the Grand Floridian on the old Gold Key Grand Plan.

We got married on a Saturday and spent Saturday night in a bi-level suite at a hotel near the airport. Flew out Sunday morning and checked into the Grand Floridian for a week. Had dinner Sunday night at Victoria and Alberts. It was a fantastic week as everything was covered food wise and we got little gifts every day. I was the one that really loved Disney up to that point but I think it was that trip that made DH as much a fan as me.

Now we enjoy regular trips to Disney to relive the magic!

We were married in 1989 and spent 3 fabulous days at WDW - we went to Epcot 2 of the 3 days - fell in love with Epcot that first trip. Then headed to Ft. Lauderdale and boarded the cruise ship for 10 days of sun and fun. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Not 100% sure he would... :p

We got married in December. I wanted to go someplace warm and lie on the beach. DH had never been on a vacation (I'm serious - never) and couldn't imagine it. That was during the media blitz on the Big Red Boat/Disney package so I suggested that as a compromise - I knew he'd love Disney. We went and DH has been hooked on vacationing ever since.

We did Vegas! Stayed at Mandalay Bay and Paris. Had a blast, and it was affordable!!!!!!
