Please tell me what you like about the WL or dislike ?

How is the pool ? Crowds? Chair availabilty ? Water slide ?

Transportation OK ?

Chances of getting a bunkbed room ?
We have a DS - teen who will not sleep with DD - tween

See MK fireworks from the beach ?

Chances of AAA or AP rate for 2006 ?

Any web-sites dedicated to WL ?
(Like CSR and Poly)

Thanks :wizard:

Hi,
We stayed at WL in 2001 and loved it! I believe the room only rates and package rates are out for AAA. For a room only rate, you can call cro, but the package needs to be booked by AAA.
Can't answer about the pool, since it was very cold when we went.
As for the fireworks, we could see them from our courtyard view room. We were on the 6th floor, almost at the very end of the hallway. We could also see the electrical water pageant at night!
We used the boat to get to MK and it worked out nice. Didn't use the buses though.

I called.... got AAA rate $279 per night ($311 w/ tax) for a Courtyard room, nonsmoking, requested bunkbeds (for DS teen & DD tween), and 5th floor.
For June 2006 - July 2006.

However I had to make 2 reservations. One for 10 nights and the second for 4 nights.

I hope to be able to stay in the same room.
WDW CM said they will note it on our reservation - that we have a continuing one. I also said the bunkbeds are a must have.

This still beats the Y/BC rates and we do not have to bump down to a moderate.

The idea of a refrigerator sounds nice for water bottles and snack storage.

The WDW CM also told me to MK there is a boat and now also a bus which goes directly to MK.

DH was unsure of the WL. But he was unsure of the Contemporary and liked it too. I hope my family likes the move I made (from the Y/BC - cost too high for us).

I will still wait for AP rates next year. :wizard:

Hi, please visit The NEW WL FAQ (Part 5) Simbas and Tiggers and Humphreys OH MY! thread here on the DIS. The first page has loads of useful information we have collected. After reading page one, just post any questions you may still have.

Had a great first stay there in May! Beautiful resort, rooms were clean. We were booked standard king and bumped to a courtyard king looking at the pool on the 1st place. Very quiet resort, never heard anyone coming and going which was nice! We loved the boat transportation to Contemporary, MK, and Ft Wilderness. Never had more than a 3 minute wait and it was relaxing. Checkin was a breeze, parking was actually close (but we didn't go in peak time!) because we used our car several times. We also rented the sea raycers and had a blast doing that one afternoon. Pool was never packed, we never had time use it but walked through it everday.

It's a tranquil, relaxing hotel.

Can you see fireworks from NORTH (near boats to MK) or SOUTH (next to villa's) courtyard view ?

Or is there a water view also ?

Thanks !
