I haven't read much about it at all, and it seems like a nice lunch spot in the MK. We will be there in January. We will not be on the DDP because we are doing a Land/Sea package, and prefer full-service restaurants to counter ones. This looks like a great option that won't break the bank since we are doing 'Ohanas that night.

And has anyone had the strawberry chicken salad on the menu?

Thanks!

my wife and i discovered this gem of a restaurant on one of our recent visits to wdw. it is smaller than most of the restaurants in mk, but the menus is simple and tasty. we have not had the salad, but we have tried the burger and the rueben. popcorn:: yummy my mom and sister just ate there recently and they liked it as well. they both had the turkey sandwich and liked it. they said the salad looked yummy.... dw says she may try it next visit :teeth:

we went there for lunch two weeks ago on our last trip. It's a great little spot and the mayor came in to wish the two girls in our party a happy birthday.. The sundae's are delicious and I had a great burger there as well

Is it a TS or a CS. I thought I would try it if it is CS....

We ate there only once. It is very nice and the food is good. Basic food, that everyone should enjoy. Our waiter was super good - he sure could talk. I know we we will go back again.

Did not try that salad.

Shhh! Don't let the secret out on this great place. We have to have lunch here every year. It is delish! Simple sandwich fare but the german potato salad is YUM!

Hi!
We were there last year and it is a wonderful, relaxing place to stop and have a great meal. I had the reuben and it was good. It reminded me of an era of the past...

It is a great spot for a meal or sundae! I haven't had the strwberry chicken salad, but the plaza club was very tasty.

We tried it for the first time in May, and it was great! I had the reuben, crinkle fries, and a banana split! :p Everything I had was terrific!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I would like to fit it into our Sept. trip, but the 3 days we'll be at MK, I just don't have any room! :sad1:

We ate here for lunch 2 years ago and it was delicious. Great spot for burgers, sandwiches, sundaes, etc.

My opinions are the same as everyone else!

We had lunch there last year... I had the burger, salad and Strawberry SUndae - DS had a Steak Sandwich, Salad and Hot Fudge SUndae.

We loved this place!

It's a TS, but not too expensive. I just made an ADR for here this morning. DH and I have two days we won't be on the DDP, so I was looking for inexpensive options. This fit the bill. I haven't eaten here before, but everything I have read about it has been positive.

We were there two years ago. I had the strawberry chicken salad, which is nice and refreshing. My husband, who is a hamburger person, had the hamburger. My feathers always get a bit ruffled when paying (almost) ten bucks for an ordinary hamburger. However, if you are on the dining play, I suppose this would not be a problem. IMHO, there are other sitdowns where you'd get more bang for your (dining program) buck if you were willing to go to the Poly or another sit down on the monorail trail.

However, considering the fact that dessert is included, their sundaes did look very yummy!

It's our favorite! Everything is great and huge. If you are having a big dinner early you will want to share. The desserts are some of the best we have ever had so be sure and try one(the banana split is my favorite).

Thank you everyone! We are definately eating there :) I agree, $10 for a hamburger seems like a lot, but the extra few $ are worth it for someone to serve it to me, lol.

Sounds like we will be sharing entrees and also banana splits!

The Plaza is actually a pretty good deal for people with the Disney Dining Experience card. With the 20% discount, it winds up being the same price as a CS meal (and infinitely tastier IMHO). :thumbsup2

I had the reuben with the potato salad... And maybe I pigged out and had a slice of apple pie à la mode for dessert!!! It was really REALLY good and far too much food for me! If you're going to Ohana that night, make sure you split things... Even if someone threatens to jab you with a fork if they feel that you're taking too much of their dessert!! :rotfl:

I must be in the minority because we didn't like it at all. We got burgers and they didn't impress us. You can get a better burger at the counter service places. We were on the dining plan and I felt wasted a table service credit on it. The one good thing was the tomato soup. I won't be going back. :(
