Hi,

We've only been to Disney in November (during Jersey Week) but it looks like we might be able to go and take my niece the first week in May. What are the crowds like? What about the weather? It is really humid then? When we were there is November it was in the high 70's low 80's with about 75 to 85% humidity and that was about our limit as far as heat and weather. Can anyone tell me if May is hotter or more humid or about the same. It'd be really exciting to go back so much soon than we'd planned (were planning on returning in December) but I don't want to be miserable with big crowds or bad weather. What about rain, does it rain alot in the begining of May? Thanks for any help.

We love the end of April - beginning of May(thats when we'll be there). The weather is warm, probably a little warmer than Nov.(longer days), the crowds are light to medium, and the humidity isn't too bad, at least not like Aug-Sept. It's a beautiful time to be in the world. As for rain we've had it both ways picture perfect and ponchos almost every day. Good or bad though it's still better to be in Disney!!
Here's to having a great time,

Beginning of May is my FAVORITE time to visit Disney. We have always had dry weather but sometimes hot (not like August). Here are the historic averages.

Average Precipitation

May 2.7 inches Oct. 3.4 inches

Average High Temperature
May 87 Oct 82

Looks like you can anticipate a little dryer and warmer weather.

I got the information form this site http://www.weatherbase.com/weather/weatherall.php3?s=250227&units=us
They also list humidity averages.

We were there last May 4-10 and loved it. We never waited longer than 15 minutes for a ride and we never used FP. There were just enough people in the park to make it interesting. This year we are going April 18-23 and expect it to be just a little more crowded. Have fun!

This will be are 10th year of going to WDW in either the 1st or 2nd week of May. The temps have average for us, in the mid - to upper 80's. It's not unusual, for temperatures to be in 90's also. Only one year (99) did we get rain every afternoon around 5:00. Other than that.....absolutely beautiful weather. Just a great time of year to go! Oh! It can get very humid, which is what we have found to be the norm. I would say," we had dry or less humid days, 3 out of the last 9 years."

For us this will be the last time that we will be going in May. As my daughter has got older, it has become more difficult for her to take time off from school. For us, we just have to fine another good time to go.

You should have a good time in early May.

Enjoy !

Thanks to all for the information. I had been wondering the same thing about the first week in May for obvious reasons ;)

Thank you all for the positive responces. We are still deciding, but your input is helping greatly.

Miss Swish - If we do decide to go, we are leaning toward POFQ like you - arriving just one day prior!!
