I'll be staying in a 3 bedroom suite at the Grand Californian hotel this summer. I've stayed there three times already, but never in a suite. What's it like? And do you have any photos? Are there three bathrooms in it? :goodvibes

Is it a villa or a hotel suite? I don't think I want to even know the cost.

It's a hotel suite, not a villa. The price is scary, and we're only staying three nights. It would be my dream to stay over a week, but that $$ would be a down payment on a house!!!!

P.S If you were to stay in a 3 bedroom suite for TWO weeks, going to multiple parks and surrounding areas with say, 8 people, you're looking at at least $31,000.

It's lovely, totally lovely!! We can only assume, but can't afford. :)

Please take pics. so we can see this... you should have an awesome time there... I wonder what the view is.

3 nights stay should be a really nice getaway, but I wonder if you will ever want to go to the Parks. ?:lmao:

I wonder if the decor is different from the other rooms.

Yep... you have to post pics. :)

I wonder how different it is from the Villas? I'm assuming it's the two story windows you can see across from the Grandvilla overlooking the pool. That's the one we had. It will be fun to see your photos! My kids didn't want to leave the grandvilla but we moved to two 2 bedrooms and invited family to join us. We wouldn't have enough points to stay in the Grandvilla for a week either unless we saved for 3 years. Now we've been doing 2 bedrooms and a studio to accomodate us and our 8 kids.

Most suites are at the end of a wing, on a corner. The suite is a 1-bedroom with 1 bath. Standard hotel rooms are attached on 2 sides to form a 3 bedroom, so there are 3 baths total. Adding concierge is only $150/night for your entire party.

There are also several presidential suites (El Capitan, Arcadia, Arroyo), these are very beautiful rooms with many custom details.
The DVC Grand Villa is even better in many ways: 2 stories, 3 bedrooms, 4 baths, wash/dryer, full kitchen, pool table...
Renting DVC points, a Grand Villa is $2-3K/night during the Summer.

I don't think the Grand Californian has any real 3 bedroom suites. The only 3 bedroom units there would be the 2 Grand Villas. Even if you look at the el Capitan And Mt. Whitney suite layouts you will see that they are not real 3 bedrooms. They are more 1 bedroom and a pullout couch in the living room. Also they are both about 500sf smaller than the Grand Villas as well! ;)

I bet, I have looked at the hotel suites, no way!!
