We have flown Spirit several times and will continue to do so, BUT we did have one bad experience. The above posters are correct that they do not have back-up planes for mechanical problems. I was flying with DDs (2 yearsm & 2 months) by myself. We had a 3 hour delay in MCO then were diverted from AC to Newark while in flight. Once in Newark they did not have enough busses to get us home so there was a stampeed for the buses. I of course with 2 small children was left in the dust especially since they had misplaced my double stroller. I eventually got my stoller with the help of a couple very kind passengers (notice I did not say Spirit employees) and finally got on a bus home. I arrived home about 12 hours late. Not once did anyone from Spirit offer any help. In fact, I saw employees on the first bus leaving the airport. My complaint letter went unanswered and I swore I would never fly them again. Two years later I have flown them again, and the employees seem better trained and more considerate of passengers.
