As you make changes do you edit your first post or just add a new post?

What is its primary purpose?

Hi Jen!

It definitely helps organize your thoughts/plans to write a trip report. It's nice to be able to talk about your Disney plans whenever you want. Our families and friends sometimes get tired of hearing about it! Its motivation to get super organized which you need to be when you're going to Disney. Also you get to know your readers and its a good way to make friends. Its hard to get to know people just making random posts. Sometimes the people reading your report tend to be people going around the same time as you. Then you can compare notes and maybe even meet up on your trips. I've "met" some really great people through my report and the ones that I am reading. Most people just start off with an intro, then just add new posts. You should read a couple to get a feel for how they are done, but there's no right way. Its alot of fun, and I'm so glad I did one. Have fun if you decide to start one, and enjoy your planning and your trip!

You can just keep adding on to your original thread with new posts. You can provide links and put them in your first post.

When are you going? And, where are you staying? How is all going?

Members like to help you out with any questions you may have, like the counter service resturants or the table service resturants. Speciality cruises, etc.

We like to see how other people go about planning their trips. We glean ideas for our own and we identify with the trials and tribulations of others' plans. It's fun to read pre-trips from those going at the same time to see what other people do in the same circumstances.

I use my pre-trip as sort of a journal of my trip. Years from now, I forget what all I went through to get to WDW and it's very fun to go back and read it. I copy my posts and put them in my scrapbook. No one else will ever read that stuff but me, but I love it anyway. Maybe it will help my kids someday when they have trips to plan for my grandkids! Ok, that's a little over the top, but I can dream.
