My son (3) is obsessed with super hero's. I know he wont be able to go on the rides, but what other attractions are there for him in this area? Looks like captain America and spider man are there on a regular basis... I saw that dr. doom is there too. Anything else besides meeting the characters that he can do? Do they have anything ironman? Anywhere to eat here? Thanks!

He can probably ride Storm Force Acceletron( it is essentially tea cups ride) and there is Captain America Diner which is quick service over there. If he is tall enough 40 " ( some 3 yr olds are ) , Spiderman ride is doable.

There are two restaurants at Marvel Super Hero Island...Cafe 4 and Captain America Diner. Both serve standard theme park fare but are not the best restaurants at the park. I think he would enjoy walking around in the stores and if you can time it when the super heroes come out on their ATVs, he could see all the super heroes.

Spiderman spends a lot of time in one of the shops to the right as you walk into Marvel Island. You'll see a sign on the sidewalk indicating where he is.

The other superheroes come roaring out on ATV's which will likely be real exciting to your son. They go to certain places for pictures and autographs.

Take your son into the walkway area up to Dr Doom. There are phones there where you can hear interesting conversations that have to do with the superheroes. Also see if he is tall enough to ride Spiderman. He might just be.

It's such a cool area. Actually everything in IOA is larger than life. He will just love wandering around and seeing everything!

Do make sure he sees the Marvel characters come in on the ATV's. Heck I was excited when they came out. I promptly got in line to see Wolverine! It's a lot a fun.

will they have a schedule posted of when the super heros will come out on the atv's? I think he will love it. Also, do you guys know if dr. doom is there all the time.... my his my brother's favorite!

On your daily park map you can find the times posted for the atv parade. When I was there in March Dr Doom was around daily. He is one of my favorites too!

So far, we have ONLY seen Spidey in there. With a long, long line. And he poses in front of a green screen, because it's an official photo spot. They will add effects to the picture, and you can buy the picture.

You can also take your own pictures, but the background is a green screen and it's a BORING shot.

Something to think of....our experience with this was....DS had their official pic taken, and I took a picture. They insisted I look at their picture, and I said it was too expensive. And he countered with a MUCH lower price. I still couldn't, it wasn't budgeted for, and we walked away, but wowie that was neat, to have them counter-offer.

You can also have him get souvenier pennies from the penny pressing machines around the island... I remember I saw one for Hulk... hmmm....... one for Spiderman... hmmm

Cheers!

If he's 40 inches, he can ride Spiderman. Other then that, he can go on Storm Force, meet the characters, eat, or shop.
