Please Tell Me about INflatable Water Slides..

HI Dis Friends,



My DD's birthday is coming up and I'm thinking about getting renting an inflatable waterslide for her friends. We've never been on any of those inflatable waterslides ever so I don't know anything about 'em.

For those who've been on them with your kids, are they safe? No slipping or falling as they climb UP before they get on the slide part. Does the run-off water make a muddy mess on the ground? Any concerns?

If you go to toysrus.com and look them up, people have rated them. That's what I did. My sil (and family) live down the street so we went in on one at Walmart, but it's still on layaway. We plan to go get it when school is done in 2 weeks. I was hoping you would have more responses, because I wanna know too!

I was going to suggest seeing how much they are vs. the Six Flags brand they have at Wal-mart (boy, do I wish I was a kid again- I want that thing so bad).

It probably will be a big mess- but TONS of fun!!

Don't rent it - BUY it!!!

I have two boys w/ summer birthdays. They wanted to rent one. It was CHEAPER to buy one at walmart for I think @$250 than to rent for $300. Granted the one I bought is smaller but 1. I felt like it was safer and 2. we would have it a lot longer than one day.

It's called Bonzai water slide. It lasted the entire summer and we used it a lot. It's still good. The kids are dying to set it up already this year. I HIGHLY recomend this water slide. We are now the "cool" house on the block. I saw there is a new one made by Bonzai this year that has a raft for it.

TIP: - Buy it now. I had a hard time finding it in June!! I called 20 Wal-marts and drove 45 min. to get one.

My DH put some kind of outdoor carpet around it so it wouldn't get muddy. Works great. Just watch that only one goes down at a time.

Yes..BUY it for sure! I got the 299.00 Pirate double water slide at Sam's club and my kids adore it.

It does make a mess (muddy when you finish) and for that purpose we lay down a huge sheet of plastic underneath it.

We have one of these that we use at church camp for the kids and at church picnics and stuff. Everyone loves it. It was so popular last year we bought to for camp this year. Just be careful to watch as they go down because some of the 4th and 5th graders were trying to go down headfirst and jumping down. I would think they would love it for a party...but like the other people said it may be cheaper to buy then to rent

I wish I was a kid again. If you are a Costco member or now someone who is one they had them there last weekend(one with water guns and sprayers). All we had was a darn slip n slide.
