Please Tell me about Homewood Suites...

Hi - Okay, I' m narrowing down my choices for hotels. I'm too much of a control freak to do Priceline for a good deal on a regular hotel room but I do think I'm going to use Hotel Kingdom. (thanks to everyone for their previous help). I think an offsite suite is for us.

Anyway, one suite that fits our budget is HOMEWOOD SUITES on Palm Parkway. Has anyone stayed there lately. It looks nice and a 1 bedroom suite w/full b'fast is running $66 on HK.

I'd love to hear what others have to say. I've been trying the search but of course it isn't running so I'm bugging you guys again.

It's nice. Stayed there in July through Hotel Kingdom. Worth every penny. Rooms are very clean & newer. Nice having 2 tv's with kids in the room.

I have stayed there and thought it was great. It was very clean and the rooms were very big. The breakfast was good too. If you are looking for a quiet place that is not in the middle of the madness this is the place for you -- plus, you are just minutes from the madness. At the rate you got, I would definitely go for it.

This is a beautiful hotel but the pool isn't heated. I e-mailed the hotel with the question and their reply was no heat. Therefore if you are going in the winter months this is a problem.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites in Kissimmee in Jan 2002 and found it to be just what we wanted at the right price. I know that the HW Suites that you asked about in Orlando is newer, however. Probably a bit nicer because of that. However, when we stayed in 01/2002 the pool at our HW Suites was heated! Just thought I'd let you know. (For further information about my opinion of HW Suites, just look around this website... I'm sure I have talked about it in depth in a few posts!). BTW, try calling the reservations department in-house at the hotel and see what the best price is that they will give you (you will have to ask something like "Is this your best price?" ).... sometimes they give a cheaper price than what you find on-line!
