Please tell me about Akershus Dinner!

Hi-- We originally booked an ADR for Akershus for 8:30 for the breakfast.. not realizing that that was an EMH Morning for Epcot. I was a bit worried about that.. and now my DD17months is in love with Ariel.. so we called and have an ADR for 4:45.. a very early dinner. (I know they can't promise Ariel, but I heard you have a better shot at dinner than breakfast.)

My DH and I are not overly picky eaters, we like to try new foods.. can anyone tell me about the food there? I read the menu and was curious to see either pics or maybe if you could tell me what your favorite/least favorite dish might be?

We love it at Akershus. We did see Ariel. My DD6 is an Ariel fanatic. The food is great. You start your meal with an appetizer bar. And then you choose from the menu, which is detailed enough to know what you are really getting. And the dessert is great! I have only been there for Dinner so I am not sure how the other meals are though. I hope that helps! Have fun and enjoy.

I've only been for lunch (and seen Ariel both times) but I was just checking out the menu for dinner and I think it sounds great.

The food is delicious. I grew up on Scandinavian food so it isn't new to me, but really--it's good.

I think I'll book dinner on our next - next trip!

I've never seen Snow White there. What's the secret to catching her there?

the menu has changed since we were there in Feb. 2006 - they have added the chicken and pork dishes and removed the vension stew and I don't remember what else. The desserts have also changed.

I had the traditional kjottkake, which was pretty good.

Quite honestly the character interaction made this very worthwhile (we had Ariel, Mulan, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle and even Prince Ali). But we probably wouldn't do it again.
