That's the only time I could get and I really want to eat there. I have lots of questions, for instance how late is the restaurant open? Will they kick us out at 10:00 if that's when it closes? At that time of night will it be very backed up and a huge wait or should we get seated pretty close to that time? Will the food be any good or will there just be a bunch of dried up over cooked meat since it's so late at night? Its the last week in August and wishes is at 10:00 that night. Will people be "holding onto their tables" to hope to see wishes so we won't get seated on time? If we don't have a view of wishes can we get out of our seats and walk over someplace to watch the show and then come back? I know we can't leave the restaurant but will we be able to see the show? Will they play the music and how's the view? I'll keep trying for a better time, but just curious if this is even worth it to keep this one.

thanks.

Not sure what kind of time frame you are on, but you might want to try and get there around 8:30...go ahead and get your name on the list. In the past, when we have arrived early for ADRs, they usually seat us. Not sure if this will work with Ohana, but it might be worth a try. We love Ohana, but you will hear mixed reviews on this. It's one of our family's favorites. I can't imagine that they would kick people out when the place closes down. Not sure about Wishes and how that plays out in the restaurant:confused3 Maybe someone else can help you out.

We had a 9:30 p.m. ADR two years ago in April for Ohana and I said then I would never do it again. First, we had a long wait, more than 45 minutes. In fact, we were walking toward Kona because we were starving when they finally called us back to Ohana. I think we finally got out of Ohana around 11:15 p.m. with very tired kids.

The food was both old and cold--not like other years during more peak dining times. Also, the activities were packed up for the night--no parade, coconut races, etc. They even started cleaning up around us--so we felt rushed.

You can always give it a try and it might be different. We just found that it is much better (and more festive) to go to Ohana earlier in the evening. Not exactly conducive to watching the fireworks, but a better meal and experience, overall.

me and my hubby just ate dinner there in dec. and we had a 9:30pm reservation..it was the ONLY time available during our trip. since 'ohana is a must do on every trip, i made the adr for that time even though it was so late.
we got there a little early and decided to sit at the bar. the waiting area was pretty full and we were told they were a little behind, but we only waited about 15 minutes past our adr time. i was also worried that once we were seated that the place would be almost empty and that no entertainment would be goin on...i also thought that the food wouldn't be as good and that we would feel rushed to get out of there, but i was wrong. all the tables around us were full of people and there was singing and games going on too. the food was great and we even got some special service since we were celebrating our wedding anniv. they played a special song for those celebrating something and gave us REAL flower leis. they were beautiful.
when wishes started, they piped in the music and it was great since we had a window seat. we would def. eat there again at that same time if that was our only option.
if you love 'ohana, i would take the late reservation if thats all that is available. i would rather eat there late, then not eat there at all!
