I'm planning a surprise trip for my children in December. The children have never been to WDW. They are 6 and 3. My DH says- book what I want to book. We will be there for 7 days, so I booked one thing per day. We are on the dining plan also. Here's what I have done so far...
Crystal Palace
Donald's Breakfastasauras
Liberty Tree Tavern (before MVMCP)
Ohana's Breakfast
Chef Mickey's
Prime Time
Princess Breakfast at Norway
What do you think?

Thanks,
Shawna

Wow! All those character meals! You guys are gonna be stuffed. For your kids' ages it looks good. You may want to consider Sci-Fi Dine In. The 6yo will love it. I'm planning on us having difficulty walking in the parks, too, with 'Ohana, Boma and WCC dinners and 'Ohana bfast.

Is CM for dinner? I really want to try that one for our Dec trip, but we won't have time. I'll just have to wait until June. :teeth:

Sounds lovely. Are CP and CM lunch/dinner ADRs?, if they are then it should be good. Prime time diner is one of my favorite places to eat.

Those are definitly some good choices! The children will love dining with the characters, but be aware some small children such as your 3 year old tend to be afraid. Most of those choices are buffets or family style meals, so they have a set price. You should probably do some math and see if the dining plan is right for you. If you are spending almost 40/day on both you and your DH, not counting the children, thats 80/day for the ddp. Places such as donalds breakfast is only about 20/per person. Unless you plan on spending 20 in a Counter service and snack that day, you will be loosing money with the dining plan. Menus with prices can be found at allearsnet, maybe you should check some prices. have a great trip!!

Yes, CM is for dinner- we are meeting some friends there to celebrate their DS's 7th birthday.

Both are for DInner. Prime time is for a late lunch- early dinner.

Nice plans! This may already be all set for you, but I just offer that you'll want to be in the park where you're eating (and, are you staying at the Poly or just traveling there to eat? -- planning to be at MK then?). Just mentioning since some folks, especially those travelling with young children, seem to underestimate the time it takes to travel from hotels to parks to other parks -- you may be an old-hand at WDW but in case you aren't, I just offer the opinion that it's easier to eat where you're already planning to be near meal time than to travel between parks to eat. Have a blast!

Hi! :wave2: How exciting to be planning a surprise trip for your kids. I love your choices..

Crystal Palace - one of the favorite places in MK; in my opinion they have great food and it's a fun atmosphere. Character interaction has always been great.

Donald Breakfast - did this on our last day this last trip and really enjoyed it. Once again, wonderful character interaction and the food was good as well (average breakfast)

Liberty Tree Tavern - loved loved loved this place; I can't say enough about it. Amazing character interaction and I personally loved the food.

Ohana's - never been

Chef Mickey - I've only been for breakfast and it was nice. It was a bit crowded and noisey but it was ok. Food was ok.

Prime Time - loved it and if you go with kids it seems that you get a lot of interactions

I don't have any children yet but I can only image how much fun the places you have chosen will be for your children. I know I've always had a blast! Good luck with your planning and have fun :wizard:
