Please suggest nice hotel in downtown Atl.

We want to stay downtown Atlanta, around World of Coca Cola, Underground Atlanta area. Pictures on the internet and descriptions are deceiving sometimes! Any suggestions are appreciated.

I stayed here several times while attending conventions in Atlanta. It is just a hotel nothing fancy, but has a decent courtyard, garage parking, and a free hot breakfast every morning. It was very reasonably priced. The staff was also very nice. I would stay here again.

It is just a hop and a skip from the Holiday Inn above. It is a lovely hotel. A bit pricey for me but the rooms are nice, though I stayed in a double and it was just a hotel room, no spa tub or anything. I figure better to save my money and stay at the Holiday Inn where I get a free hot breakfast.

We stayed at the Ellis on Peachtree which is within walking distance of the World of Coke and Underground Atlanta - and right by a MARTA station. We really enjoyed and would stay there again

We paid around ummm ... $120/night. I got that rate off of hotels.com/travelocity (I use both and can't remember which one). We stayed there June 09.

Oh and it is right across street diagonally from the Ritz-Carlton (bet it's pretty nice if you can splurge - lol)

The Marriott Marquis is nice, but it can be pricey. The Holiday Inn that a PP mentioned is in a great area and is a little cheaper. We stayed at the Marquis for New Years, but a friend stayed at that HI and we visited them and walked to Philips Arena from their hotel. I plan on booking the Holiday Inn for this coming NYE based on our experiences there!

I am surprised no one mentioned the Embassy suites yet.. It is right in olympic park across from the CNN center and across the street from WOC.. they have a Ruth Chris steakhouse in there also.... perfect location...
