Please suggest a restaurant for lunch...

Anyone have a great lunch spot outside of the parks? We were hoping to lunch at Boma, but I didn't realize it wasn't open for lunch. We aren't big breakfast eaters, so we don't really want to do that. All of our evenings except for Chef Mickeys will be at the parks. One day we will go to Whispering Canyon-a favorite of all of us (me, DH, DD10 and DS7) DD10 is pretty adventurous with food, but DS7 if so pciky, so we don't plan meals around him. What's everyone think?

Oops, one more question-SciFi or 50's Primetime?

We also had a nice lunch at Kona Cafe a couple of weeks ago. We didn't even have an ADR but were seated immediately. It's a nice relaxing break from MK especially.

Another nice restaurant for lunch if you have a car is the Sand Trap which is in the clubhouse at Bonnet Creek....the WDW golf courses not the independent time share.

We enjoy Rainforest Cafe (there is one at DTD or AK)
Our food has always been very good and the atmosphere is so unique!

If you can count DTD outside of the parks, DH and I love Earl of Sandwich. Your kids can pick what they want too. IT is really good and one of the boards has a poll as to which is their fav. sandwich. I also am trying Planet Hollywood this time for lunch. We are going to do sandwiches and such. We love Beaches and Cream too. We eat and order the kitchen sink afterwards for the four of us. We can't finish it!!! Not even on empty stomachs. It is fun to see the kids faces when they bring it out and make it so special. That would be really fun for your kids. Hope this helps you!!

GF cafe! it is great at lunch, and very beautiful! also i would go 50's before sci-fi, but we always do both!

We have enjoyed lunch at Concourse Steakhouse and we have lunch at Earl of Sandwich at least once per trip (perhaps the best deal at WDW)!

I also enjoy going to Earls because afterwards we can head over to Ghiradelli for some dessert!

The Big River Grille on the Boardwalk is great, you can sit outside and enjoy the view. Kona is wonderful. Earl of Sandwich and Rainforest Cafe are fun in DTD. As for Sci Fi vs. Prime Time, thats a toughie! We love them both. Sci Fi is very calm and relaxing. Everyone is glued to the screen, the movie clips are so corny they are funny. Prime Time is more energized and you might get a server who likes to role play with you. For instance the guy next to us in May had to get up and sing "I'm a Little Teapot" since he didn't clean his plate. My son polished his food off after that and the grandpa on our other side hid his leftovers under someone else's plate! It was a lot of fun but if you don't like that sort of thing you might not like Prime Time. If you choose Sci Fi, we prefer lunch, its cheaper. We love the burgers and I don't think they serve those at dinner. The food might be a tad better at PT but the atmosphere is equally fun at both. Both of these restaurants are probably my kids' favorites.

I believe that Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness is open for lunch. We have been there for breakfast and dinner and it is great. Reasonably priced, something for everyone and not crowded.

We really like Earl of Sandwich for an out of the parks spot to grab lunch. The food has always been very good - somewhat unique offerings - and we all leave very satisfied.

Sci-fi is very good, but if you like WWC I think you will love 50's PTC.
