POR FAVOR MANTENGAN SE ALLEJADO DE LOS PUERTAS. (not sure if I spelled that right). How many people can't get this saying out of their mind? after riding the monorail for 8 days, I hear the spanish version of "please stand clear of the doors" in my sleep.

OMG!! I love this line. I get all choked up when I hear it. I made Dh put it on my ipod!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I love the monorail way too much for my own good! I get my fix by having my little Monorail magnet on my fridge that says it to me whenever I feel the need to hear it! I swear it's one of my most valuable souvenirs from Disney! :rolleyes1

*GASP* a TALKING monorail magnet??????????Wherever did you find this treasure?? MUST...HAVE...IT!

I love it too and had the sound clip added to my computer so that when I log off and shut down at the end of each work day, I hear that friendly warning!

I believe that I got it at the Orlando airport actually -- in the Disney Store there. Don't quote me on that though! I'm always forgetful! I'll have to ask my husband in order to check!

I don't get the huge attraction of this thing! Maybe it's because I didn't ride the monorail much last time but I don't remember hearing it at all!!

Yeah, I love that line. At other moments, I find myself thinking "Mind the Gap."

Both offer good advice for many situations.

You must be from England!
My semester in London will always have "Mind the Gap" in the back of my mind---very much like the monorail spiel is so Disney to me.

I had no idea those magnets existed. I want one.

I searched high and low for that magnet last January after reading about it on the favorite souvenir thread!!! I think I asked in just about every gift shop we saw and no one had a clue what I was talking about....I would love to know where they have it...

Last month, when my kids and all their cousins were sitting around our campsite, they started playing a game of guessing lines from movies. On DD's turn, she blurted out that line in Spanish (not a movie - I know!), and she and DS just about wet their pants laughing.

None of the cousins knew what it meant . . .

It really made me happy that my kids have a memory just for themselves!

The magnet....

DH and I searched everywhere for this during our May trip. We were told that they used to sell the magnet in the Contemporary gift shops, but stopped selling it years ago. I have seen some on ebay every once in awhile, but they go quickly and the last one I saw sold for over $40!

Just to add my two cents, I found a website a few months ago that had t-shirts printed up with the famous saying.

Wow... $40 huh, had I know that, I would've bought them all up :rolleyes1
My husband says that we got it last November in the POP gift shop. So, I guess my memory was wrong -- apparently I was remembering the mini-monorail that turned into a flashlight that we got the trip before from the airport. Too many monorails to remember I guess! :lmao: Hope you guys can find them! If I do next trip, I'll buy extra and remember all my fellow monorail lovers! :cheer2:

My spanish teahcer asked each one of us if we knew ANY spanish at all on the first day of school and of course I said this saying. She kinda gave me a look and questiongly said "please stand clear of the door? whered you learn that?" It took all my power to stop laughing and explain that im a disney fanatic... :goodvibes

hahaha. I often annoy my friends by saying stuff like, "Please move all the way over and fill in all available space. Fill in all available space please." and "Please lower your head and watch your step as you exit the tram." etc.
