"Please Stand Clear of the Doors"

My DS5 has the Monorail toy and one of the accessories, the TCC station, has the phrase on it. The actual monorail toy only says it in English, but the station set has the full monty. I secretly go press the button in the evenings,
when he is alseep, if I need a quick Disney pick me up!!! :teeth:

We need a monorail smilie I think.

they mispelled alejados. Nice t-shirt anyway :thumbsup2

Maybe I'm missing something here, but what is the correct spelling? When I put in "alejado" on two different sites to translate it comes up meaning "far away" or "remote". When I put in different spellings(such as "allejado") it comes up as no translation.

Also, the monorail spiel(Spanish) doesn't translate into directly into "Please stand clear of the doors"....that would be "Por favor soporte claro de las puertas"

I'm just curious as to how "alejado" is wrong. :confused3

I want those shirts!

mickeymousemom-I did a search of alejado on Yahoo and found that there are a few translations for it...one of them being " to move away, go away" which makes sense.

BTW, I sent an email to that link I posted to let them know about the misspelling!

We got that T-Shirt too. We got ours from Ebay. Just do a search for "disney monorail". He has a new version that has both the english and spanish phrase and a graphic of the monrail that is all on the FRONT of the shirt. I think I am gonna have to get that one too! :Pinkbounc
I just bought that shirt from him as well as the TTA one paging Mr Tom Morrow. :rotfl: I can't wait til they get here. :cool1:

I love the TTA.."Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow. You're party from Saturn has arrived. Please give them a ring." :lovestruc

I actually have the fridge magnet monorail. It has a little button you can push and it has three sayings total, the english and spanish version standing clear of the doors and another, can't remember that one.

I have it also. I just love it! "Please hold onto the handrails"

Surely I'm not the only one who can't pronounce the Spanish part...I'm Canadian...English and French yes...Spanish no.

Can someone spell it, breaking it down phonetically into syllables? I'm sure you'd be helping plenty of us!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

BTW - you can make up your own shirts at www.zazzle.com - they even have a disney collection of graphics (legal, of course).

I want to make up a tshirt with my top 10 favorite things heard at Disney, but DH said he wouldn't travel with me if I did that.

Thank you thank you for posting this link - it's so fun and really takes you back to the Magic!!

I didn't think anything could cheer me up today after losing my beloved dachshund to cancer yesterday at age 17. However, the music on this link is at least helping me divert my sorrow and "find a happy place".

Wow, so sorry. Sitting here with my dachshund it makes me sad to think of losing her. Glad that the music from Disney can make you feel better in this tragic time though. It's wonderful that you had your doxie for 17 years though....I'm sure they were wonderful years.

Can you actually put phrase on them? I couldn't see that option when I tried to make a birthday shirt for my DS, so I gave up. It's probably really obvious, which is why I missed it!!

So do we...I love it...DH hits the button every day!!

I love it, but I really wanna know....

DO native spanish speakers really love to hear "Please stand clear of the doors!" as much as we love the spanish version???

We got our Magnet at our resort hotel - I'm fairly certain that they have them at the Emporium on Main Street at MK and possibly at the World of Disney at DTD.

My spelling was incorrect! This is directly from Disney - or Disney Pins anyways:

IndyJammer - can you help? :confused3

I love these boards, and I love you guys! Group hug! :grouphug:

I a huge fan of the monorail guy. I love his whole schpeil. It never gets old. "For those of you who are just joining us welcome....." "Next stop Grand Canyon Concourse" "across Bay Lake you'll see Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort" etc... etc... I could listen to that guy all day. "As we approach the Magic Kingdom station, please gather your personal belonging and take small children by the hand and have magical day at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom." Not exact quotes but you get the picture.

Three cheers for monorail guy :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I also love all of the dialogue in the TTA!!!!! Classic!

BTW this thread confims it. We have completely lost our minds. We are lunatics.

Sorry - I took French - but I can give you my "Indiana-Accent" version!

"Pour fa-Vour, Mantenga-Say Allay-hadro day las por-tez"

I am sure that there are MUCH more qualified DISers that can break it down, but that's about how I say it!
