I have not even finished FINALIZING my ADR's for Nov. and I am planning next summer's trip.

Just now I sat down with paper and pen and figured out a lot of scenarios using a certain amt. of days staying at BCV, AKV and Vero in a combo of ways. I did anywhere from 9 nights til 12. with and without a cash night to S T R E T C H the trip, with and without staying at AKV. JUST CRAZINESS. I have lost my EVER LOVING DISNEY MIND. First I come back from our 2 week trip in Aug. and VOW TO NEVER GO FOR A LONG TRIP LIKE THAT IN THE NEAR FUTURE, not because we didn't love it, but just because we spent so much money and we really don't need to go for 2 weeks again. So for next summer I was thinking 8 nights 9 TOPS for next July. Now I am putting pen to paper figuring out ways to stay at all three resorts or maybe just two, and if just two...how many nights on points at each, with and without cash nights.

I have a 7 night trip in Nov. and I have not finished planning that one. GOOD GRIEF what am I thinking??

I am going to encourage you rather than stop you I suggest you check out CASKBILL's DVC Planner, it's a great tool to use what if scenarios. I do the same thing from time to time. You can download it for free at www.caskbill.com

Think of all the other vices you could have - being a Disney super vacation planner is one of the best ones

Just remember to blink - I learned that years ago from a co-worker... when you stare at a computer monitor for hours on end you tend to forget to blink, now that you know... you'll catch yourself doing it too!!!!

There was a post a while ago about the crazy things us DVC folks do and I admitted to planning pretend vacations! I'll figure how many nights I can stay at any given season with my 310 points at all of the resorts, then I'll do a different type room during a different season, etc etc.

At least you're not planning pretend trip like me!!

Sorry, I can't help you...that would be hypocritical of me !

It's one of the things I love about DVC. I am always deep into planning vacation #2 (or #3) before vacation #1 is even started. I have called MS from a DVC resort, to plan a future vacation. I have worked every scenario as to how we could spend our points. I think my DH suggested a big family trip next March just to use the points so he didn't have to hear all the various ways we could use them !

I think it makes my family crazy now and again but it keeps me sane!!!
