When my mom made our reservations (at SSR), she asked for a crib for my son. They apparently told her that they would note the request.

I thought they just offered the pack & plays for little ones -- and those are already in the rooms.

My mom thinks that because they didn't correct her about her crib request and tell her about the pack & play, that means they must have cribs.

Who is right? Does/can Disney provide an actual crib or do they call the pack and play a crib?? :confused3

When we asked for a crib at POR it was a Pack and Play and I have to say...it was dirty and musty smelling my SIL's was not much better. When we stayed at the Dolphin it was a real crib and it was ok. We now always rent from A Babys Best Friend. We have had great , great luck with them. They even delivered in a hurricane for us. The cribs are beautiful and come with nice bumpers and linens (all WDW themed). They are pretty easy to set up. Good luck. If you are going to use the Pack and Play I would suggest bringing clorox clean up wipes or some sort of wipes to clean the Pack and Play..the inside and the webbing. Ours was very very dirty. :guilty:

The pack and play we had at ASMo last year was in very good condition. It was not dirty and looked fairly new. I did prefer the small crib that we had, on request, when we stayed at CSR though. It was a real crib, very chic actually! of the small version but sat up as high as a regular crib rather than nearly on the floor with the pack n plays. It was all made up for DGD and even had its own little towel animal placed in it. I think it just depends on where you are staying. Those are the only two resorts I can comment on from experience.

Just another note on your question. The CSM's will always "note" your requests, such as refrigerators (for value resorts), specific building/room requests and crib requests. Depending on the level of your resort will depend on what you get. Where you are staying as SSR you will likely have a crib although it looks like trasor (above) may have some experience with this resort and it will be a pack n play. The pack n plays do not come standard in any room. Any crib or pack n play is on request only. The reason the person taking your call notes it as a request is that the resort will actually get your request about 2-3 days before you check in. They will then be responsible for setting up any of your requests. The CSM who books your room works in a call center, not actually at the resort you are booking for and therefore cannot "guarantee" anything as they do not do any of the actual filling of requests. You can call your resort 2-3 days before check in to be sure they are recognizing/honoring your request and that they will have the crib set up in your room for your arrival. Hope this helps.

At the GF and Dolphin we have gotten actual cribs, but at WL we got a pack-n-play (excellent condition)

It might be worth calling the resort directly and asking for clarification. Staff has always told me that they will guarantee a pack-n-play, but all other requests (room location, bed arrangements, etc.) are based on availability.

the DVC's all have pack and plays...if you really want a crib you can rent them from another company and they will deliver it to your hotel. My friend did this bc her kids wouldn't sleep in pack and plays.

Last year at the Poly, we had a mini-crib in our room. The mattress was not very comfy, so we put some thick blankets under the fitted sheet!

We have stayed at SSR twice in the past year. There were pack n plays in the closet both times. They were older- but clean and in good shape. They also provided a Mickey Mouse Pack n play sheet to go over the mattress.
I found we could avoid pulling out the sofa bed for my daughter if we put the pack n play right up against the sofa as a bed rail! Both my 2 y/o and 4 y/o could sleep comfortably without filling the studio with a pull out bed!
Hope this helps!

Pop has Pak N Play. It was very clean. They have a sheet that comes with it. Some people said it would fit between the beds but ours would not for some reason. Not sure about the other resorts.

Last year at the BCV we had 2 full size metal cribs in our 2bd. We asked at the front desk when we checked in and within 10 minutes they were delivered to our door. There was a pack 'n' play stored in the villa but they definitly have full size cribs also. It might vary by resort or how many are in use, but I would ask when you get the check-in.

Last year at BCV I asked for a crib. DD was only 4 months so I wanted an actual crib. They stated there was a pack n play in the room..but I reiterated I wanted a crib. They did provide an actual crib.

Poly has both the wooden mini crib as mentioned and the pack n play I know b/c they had a mini crib in the hall when we arrived but that night when we returned it wasn't in the hall or in our room after we called for them to bring a crib to our room it was a PnP. I would call the resort itself to find out which they.

At POP, it was a clean pack n play, at All Star Movies a clean pack n play, at All Star Sports a very NASTY pack n play with puke (or something similar looking) on the sides inside ugh.. yuck!

At Poly, a portable crib that looked like it was about to fall apart LOL

yes they do all of the ones that we have had and what others have posted have some kind of mickey print on them although I am not sure they change them but they will bring you clean ones if need.

It's always been hit and miss where full size cribs are concerned with us. No one at the resorts appears to have ever had children, as no one knows the differences between a pack and play, a portable crib, and a full size crib.

We play it safe and reserve with A Baby's Best Friend as the previous poster does. We have always been very pleased with their service, cleanliness and quality, and that is a nice bit of insurance on a WDW vacation. We highly recommend them for all needs baby.

This is from 6 years ago so not valid now, but we were given pack n plays at both value and moderate resorts. They were gross and we didn't use them either time. I can only imagine if they used a blacklight on them it wouldn't be a pretty picture. No thanks
