I thought I had all 1 ts bookings (except for Hoop de doo). The I read that rainforest cafe (downtown) is not on regular plan. Is this right???? Please take a look at my other ressies and let me know if I have any others that are not on the plan. Thanks

since i will be cancelling rainforest, i would like a character dinner meal for 2 boys (3/6). suggestions welcomed!!!!!

All your other reservations are great and accepted on the DP.
For two boys you might want to try Garden Grill at Epcot. Chip and Dale along with Mickey come out! :thumbsup2
Also Chef Mickey's at the contemporary might be another option. At Cape May you have Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Donald. I don't remember of Minnie comes out. The food at Cape May is really good, not that the others are not, but food wise Cape May is our favorite out of the ones here. :wizard:

I hope you have a great time!

We loved Cape May but just so you know, it is Donald, Minnie and Goofy at breakfast only.

It is one of those package restaurants (like the castle). They get your credit card info in an effort to make sure that people show up for your ressie. You can still cancel it and your credit card will not be charged. (I think it is 48hours before ressie to cancel or face a charge) FYI: A nice Part of the package is that you get your picture taken with one of the princess's for free. (included in your price) Have a great trip...all of your food options look great...

Woops  It has been a while, so my memory has failed me. Thanks for clarifying. Now that I think of it, I don't know why I have the memory of pluto & mickey in my head and associating it with that day. :confused3

so at the akershus place, i think prince charming is there too? I wonder is it too girlish? How is the food there?? The food at garden grille does not seem to appealing and i am not sure about chip and dale. OOOOO, help me more please

No princes at Akershus. Cinderella's prince appears at 1900 Park Fare. And yes you must use a credit card to secure the reservation at Akershus. If you don't cancel and don't show up you will be charged a no-show fee.

Mickey and Pluto appear at 'Ohana breakfast.

Their are no prince's at Askershus just the princesses. The experience was nice, but none of us were crazy about the food. I tried very hard to finish my plate and the rest in the party were not impressed. It's one of those places where you go for the experience. Do keep in mind that we went for dinner, breakfast I have heard is pretty good.

Typically, there are no princes at Akershus, but 2 years ago when we were there, we saw Prince Ali. So, occasionally they have the princes.

I have never done the Fantasmic packages but I thought they were indeed 2 TS....I am sure one of the more experiences DiSer's will correct me if I am wrong. I think you can't go wrong with Chef Mickey's....I prefer a dinner buffet over a breakfast and this is one of the best dinners with Characters IMO.

The F! packages charge the same amount of credits as their "host" restaurants normally would. So for MM and H&V, that is 1 credit each, for Brown Derby, it is 2 credits.

As far as the OP, Akershus is typically only the princesses (as mentioned) and I would not book it with the hope for any princes. Garden Grill in Epcot is a good choice, but it does fill up quick (small restaurant, only open for dinner, only non-princess character meal in Epcot).

As far as character dinners, there are actually only a few.

  • Garden Grill (Epcot, mentioned above) - Only Serves Dinner
  • Chef Mickey's (Contemporary) - Breakfast & Dinner (sometimes lunch during high volume times)
  • Crystal Palace (MK) - All Day
  • 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian) - Breakfast & Dinner (two different experiences)
  • Akershus (Epcot, also mentioned above) - All Day
  • Cinderella's Royal Table (MK, 2 Credits) - All Day

You can add:

  • Ohana (Poly)
  • Cape May Cafe (Beach Club)
  • Tusker House (AK)
  • Hollywood and Vine (DHS, Breakfast and Lunch)

As places that host characters at breakfast (H&V also has lunch) only. (I feel like I'm missing one from one or both lists... but I can't figure it out ><).
