Please send some magic our way!

Hi everyone. Just thought I would give you an update. We are staying where we are for the next two years. One of the Col.'s decided since my hubby was selected to be a DO, he should be one so he placed him in one of his here.

Lovemygoofy, you had previously posted about how it would feel to be in the same place for 6 years and I said I couldn't imagine. Well, in two years I can tell you because we will have been here 6 years. So it all works out for the best.

This is actually my home town where me and DH met. My DS is doing well in school here, so it is a very good thing.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers, it is going to work out well for us.

:grouphug: :sad2:

I hope you have an answer to this important issue soon. Thank you to you and your DH for serving us so well. I wish military life was easier on the families.

Thats great that you finally know something. I'm praying, doing the please PCS us dance:banana: and just trying to hope:wizard: that we get orders to PCS after my husband comes home next year but then we'll have a year left on that enlistment and I doubt we'll move so that'll be 8 years in the same place:eek: This is a really nice area, we are just ready for somewhere maybe a little less HOOAH lol

Anyways, at least that is one less thing you have to worry about now and just think your place is already decorated. I hope your husband gets back to you quickly.

Hang in there. Each assignment has its silver lining.

I thought I would die when DH got stationed in San Antonio--and then I absolutely fell in love with the city.

When DH got his assignment to Mississippi, I knew life really was over. LOL, I was right! Just kidding. We renovated our house there and made a bunch of money on it. Granted, I had to homeschool one daughter and put another one into a hospital for depression, but we all made it through.

We were also in a panic over my husband's forced retirement at 20 years when he didn't promote to Lt. Colonel. But honestly, his retirement has been the best thing that ever happened to us!

Everything happens for a reason, and while it doesn't always turn out like you expected...it always turns out.

One of my best friends just left San Antonio, where her DH was stationed!! They're in Turkey now and I miss her like crazy, but the internet is an amazing thing!!

OP, here's a :grouphug: for you. I've got my fingers crossed for MD!
