A wonderful man in our lives has just been diagonosed with lung cancer. Our pastor had not been feeling well for a couple of months and two weeks ago he began running a fever 102 and developed a deep dry cough. They ended up hospitalizing him last Thursday and on Sunday we got the news that they found a mass on his lung. Today he was told that there are 3 tumors, one pretty large, and they are inoperable.

We took our youth witness team to visit him tonight and both he and his wife are in good spirits despite the news. He will be undergoing more tests soon to find the full extent of the disease and treatment options.

Please remember him and his wife in prayer. We know the power of prayer and believe that miracles do happen.

What a shame, BrinxFam. I do hope he is able to recover with some protocol of treatments, things can be done. He will be in my prayers.

Sorry for the bad news, that is very daunting. But there are lots of new treatments for lung cancer: Avastin and Tarceva to name a few. They are coming up with new clinical trials combining drugs all the time, hopefully he can participate in one. I know your shared faith will be a comfort to all of you, and I'm wishing your pastor all the best.

BrinxFam my uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer last year. He was taken in the hospital to have the tumour removed. When they opened him up the healthcare professionals decided that it was inoperable and just sewed him back up again. He then had to wait several weeks to recover from the surgery before he could start any form of treatment. Anyway to cut a long story short, a couple of months ago he went for a check up and he was completely cancer free!

My thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family at this time!

Thank you to each of you for sending up a prayer. I've always believed that when prayers go up blessings come down. This is such a shock to our church family. He has only been our Pastor for a little while but things are changing for the best and we all love him and his wife so much.

It is so uplifiting to hear positive reports. We are praying that he is one of the positive statistics.

Thanks again and if you attend church and could put him on your prayer list we would greatly appreciate it. We do believe in the power of prayer. His name is Pastor Bob.

I just got a phone call saying that Pastor Bob had a bone scan earlier today and it came back clear. Prayers are being heard!

My best friend was diagnosed 3 years ago with Stage 3 lung cancer, her tumor is inoperable too, between her heart and lung. She has had rounds of chemo and radiation and is doing pretty well. Her diabetes gives more trouble than the cancer actually...

I'm keeping you're friend in my thoughts and prayers too.
