If we are staying at OKW, can we valet park at the bw for free if we just want to hang around, pool hop, or whatever? Is there any time limit or anything? I knew all this once, but I am slipping

You can valet at any DVC resort for free, tip expected.

I am not sure how it works with the self park, I always valet at BWV to visit the resort and.or the boardwalk area. I may even be guilty of free valet parking at BWV when going to a dinner at the Swan or Dolphin or BC(before BCV)....I think that this is allowed.

When we were there in August, I had to pay $6 to valet. Upon leaving, they give you something to put on your dash to show you have already paid for that day in case you go to another resort.

Then they charged you for something that should have been free. DVC members get free parking and it's not even tied to staying at a DVC resort or on points. It's a perk for just being a member. Showing a resort ID card that says member OR your DVC membership card should get it done with no problems. I'm assuming the same perk will be extended to BCV.

Several have posted that the valet's didn't know about it so you may have. Next time simply insist.

I just asked the man running the valet booth if I had to pay since I was a DVC member on points. He asked to see my key and said I was free. However, you do have to pay at the non-DVC resorts (Grand Floridian)

Beach Parking
With the opening of Disney's Beach Club Villas, Members now receive complimentary valet parking at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Please present your Member Card or Walt Disney World Resort ID (indicating you are a member) to the attendant when leaving your vehicle to receive this service at no charge. Gratutities are appreciated. Please note that the normal $6/day fee will be in effect for valet parking at Disney's Yacht Club Resort.

Have valet parked at the DVC resorts when not booked at WDW without any problem. Told security and valet that wanted to visit or eat and they have always been very nice and said 'no problem'.
Only required a tip.
