Yep, it was me who had an issue with cricutmachine.com. My card got hit for $4000 right after I used it there. (It was declined, and then the card was canceled, but still - horrible!) I will NEVER order from them again, paypal, credit card, whatever. NEVER.

I've had my credit card compromised twice in the past year. I believe that anytime you use it ordering from a company online you're risking it. I've ordered from cricketmachine in the past and never had a problem.

prouparents is who I got my "E" though Checked the CC statement and indeed it said diecutcentral. I have cancelled both cards (the CC and the debit) just in case

I got my E and several cartridges from them! Haven't seen any fraud on my card though. I also use paypal.

Now I am scared as I ordered from them today. I am from Canada but have a U.S credit card I used. I think I am going to call the CC company right away and ask as I need this card for our upcoming WDW trip.

Yesterday I was going to order from cricutmachines and when I got to the window to put in my cc, I noticed at the bottom right corner a different icon than the standard secure website icon.

So I clicked on it and it said something about the website had security issues. I decided to order through paypal instead.

I hope there's no problem now. I didn't see this thread until this morning.

ETA: When I ordered later through paypal there was a secure site icon at the bottom of the window.

I had 2 things in my cart yesterday for cricutmachine.com with the pre Black Friday sale. Then I started to think about the security problems they have and are still having and decided to forget it. It was not worth the hassle to deal with it if something did happen. I have ordered from them before, but with all the problems they have and still have not corrected the problem I will pass on the sale.

I have to say that what ticks me off the most about this is that ProvoCraft has given them an exclusive. I think you can only get Ornamental Iron and Car Decals from them. What were they thinking? People have been talking about the issues they have been having on the Cricut MB for MONTHS!

Thanks to everyone for posting this, I was going to purchase a few carts for myself for christmas. I guess I'll have to wait for a good deal from someone else. I can't believe they have not fixed the issue yet, I know I won't be ordering from them anytime in the near future.

For those looking for alternative online store. I posted some of the deals that Oh My Crafts is offering, in a separate thread. While not quite the same bargain basement prices, with the extra 10%, they have 39 full cartridges for under $20. Free shipping over $50. FYI, their shipping can be on the slow side, especially during sales, but certainly not any slower than ordering from like J's online.

I had the same problem with CricutMachine.com about two months ago. I had used my debit card and I was hit with over $1600 in charges. One charge was in Dublin, Ireland and the other was from Air Australia. Luckily my bank refunded me the money within a day or two. About two years ago I had my PayPal account hacked, but I don't remember who I had ordered from around that time. They were the worse ones to deal with. It was several weeks later before they finally admitted that I had not made the purchases and then they refunded my money. I would love to take advantage of the Black Friday sale at CricutMachine.com, but there is no way I will order from them until they provide a more secure checkout system.

Same here. My credit card got hit for $5000 worth of airline tickets a couple of days after purchasing from cricutmachine.com. My credit card's fraud department caught it right away, and issued a new card.
