Here is a message I just sent to member satisfaction:

Thank you for the response. I appreciate that I will be able to get the glassware (and I assume that includes mugs?) at SSR and OKW upon request and that DVC is working on a solution which will allow the mugs/glasses to be placed permanently in the studios like the other resorts. I would hate for there to be distinction drawn on a permanent basis between the resorts on something like this.

However, the posting on the DVC website does not contain the info about members being able to request the glassware. I feel that given everything that has happened this is misleading and should be corrected so that the information on the website is the same as that sent in the email below to members who raised a concern about the new policy. Otherwise, it appears that only those members who have become aware of the new policy and complained have the info about the possibility of requesting the mugs/glassware, and that is certainly not fair to the entire membership.

Great news for my four home resorts! Good news for the others, since you can request glassware and ceramic mugs.

Actually, great news for all DVC members... Now... On our last stay at HHI, we did not find a recycling bin in our unit... I asked a MK about it and she said that the resort doesn't recycle anymore because they didn't have anyone to take the materials.............. Seems to me, this is a much greater issue. Anyone else notice the lack of recycling at HHI?

I'm glad that someone else has received the same email as Bobbi. Since no one else had reported getting the same (or a similar) email (and I know I didn't get one), I was beginning to wonder if the issue had really been addressed or if they were just trying to placate a squeeky wheel (Bobbi, admit it, you know you squeek!! ).

I do hope that the issue is resolved satisfactorily for SSR and OKW. I know that when we were at VB last March, in a studio, I did request and get the mugs that I asked for. I had thought it was just an ommission, but can it be that no one on this board other than me stayed in a studio at VB? Did you have mugs? Did people just not notice?

At any rate, we're off for our Easter trip to visit DS in New Orleans, and then a cruise to Mexico! Happy Easter to those who celebrate.
