Hi All, So I am a FLR so I have done mostly day trips. I have a 5 day trip planned for my 23rd birthday next Aug/Sept. I have all of my ADR's planned out so let me know what you think. We are going to have the deluxe ddp. It might seem like a lot of food but I was thinking having early breakfast, late lunch, late dinner.

Wednesday 29th
Dinner: The Garden Grill
Thursday 30th
Breakfast: Kona Café (first time, ready for my tonga toast:thumbsup2)
Lunch: The Coral Reef Restaurant (first time)
Dinner: Teppan Edo (first time)
Friday 31st
Breakfast: The Crystal Palace
Lunch: The Plaza Restaurant (first time)
Dinner: Tony’s Town Square Restaurant (first time)
Saturday 1st
Breakfast: Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House (first time)
Lunch: 50’s Prime Time Café (first time)

My DBF and I are really exicted :cool1: to try new things so any suggestions are welcome. TIA popcorn::

Are you hoping for free dining to upgrade to DxDP or are you paying out of pocket for DxDP? I ask because you have quite a few "cheaper" restaurants so I think you may be better off paying out of pocket if you're going to pay full price for the DxDP, especially if you both don't need an appitizer and a dessert.

I've been only once but I'll let you in on my experience at a few of them.
Teppan Edo was amazing! We had a great time it was only the two of us so they sat us with a family of six they were long time Disney World fans and were buying into DVC on this trip. A few days later we ran into them again at a different park. It was our favorite restaurant for dinner.

The Crystal Palace we went for dinner shortly before wishes started and had such a good time! It was our second favorite restaurant for dinner.

50's Prime Time Cafe was not at all what I expected and was quite disappointed by the experience. The food was good and all but not the show that I've seen on YouTube, maybe if we were in a different room.

Kona Café I've heard a lot of great things about and am thinking of going their next year. Coral reef I've read mixed reviews but I'm also thinking about making an ADR for their as well next year.

Well that's my two cents hope you have as good a time as my DD and I did.

Thanks guys for your suggestions, I would love to get free dining but I'm a seasonal passholder so I can't. I guess I'm :confused3 when you say "cheaper" restaurants?

The Crystal Palace is my favorite restaurant, I love Pooh so its always a must do.

Thanks guys again.

OK...Here are a few tips. We did the DxDP last spring and loved it...but...it is only worth it is you select expensive restaurants and pick the higher priced menu items. I know it is for your bday, so you may just want to blow it out and not worry about money, but that is just a tip to get the most value out of your plan. Character meals are good value on the dining plan...

As far as your choices:
Wednesday 29th
Dinner: The Garden Grill - haven't eaten there, not heard the best about it though
Thursday 30th
Breakfast: Kona Café - Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes are awesome, service stinks, coffee is best in WDW
Lunch: The Coral Reef Restaurant - havent been
Dinner : Teppan Edo - fun experience, food no different than any japanese place like it, but i think it's a good choice
Friday 31st
Breakfast: The Crystal Palace - great!
Lunch: The Plaza Restaurant Cheap, so not best value on dining plan, but a good lunch compared to other table service in the MK
Dinner: Tony’s Town Square Restaurant - blah...it stinks b/c there aren't really any great TS options in the MK...one option would be to take the monorail to Poly or GF for dinner. Ohana, Kona, and GF Cafe are all yummy
Saturday 1st
Breakfast: Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House - We thought this food was great compared to any other buffet. Tons of options. Great value
Lunch: 50’s Prime Time Café - haven't been

Our favorite TS meals on the DxDP were - Tusker House, Boma, Sanaa, Jiko, Via Napoli, Kona, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare dinner, GF Cafe breakfast, Wave, Ohana (long waits, though), Biergarten for the atmosphere, not the food, Teppan Edo, Le Cellier
