hey at today prices - I can't afford DVC.
that is one thing that is worrying me - the salary of DVC member is going up - there are now members who own DVC and don't think a thing of paying $3,000 or more for EXTRAS....
boy I can't do that - at my salary I could NEVER do that.
I brought in 93 when it was $52 a point and that included WDW tickets...It was a wonderful deal then.
lately I have been renting my points - and as I say - using the money for paying bills and staying offsite.
my next trip is an exchange which is why I am staying at SSR.
however I won't sell my points - I can rent them pretty easily for more than the maintence fees - so I will kept them until I can't do that. they have been a wonderful step for me - but believe me at $98 a point I can definitely understanding not buying.
I don't stay in 2-bedroom - when I need a 2-bedroom - I generally go for the 2 studio. same amount of people - less points.
I also love Pop - so I don't know - now the timeshares over there I would jump on - but just a hotel room...I don't know - besides the last time I looked Pop was cheaper anyway than MOWC.
Pop is a fun place - don't mark it off your list.
there is another board that I post on - and when I say going to WDW is better than being at home even when you can't stay at WDW - some people get very upset with me...but lots of folks can't pay WDW prices.
oh about pop - there is a rumor that the other part of Pop will be for families of 5 or 6 - something like the kids suites at HI. WDW needs something in the value price range for this group of people. So it might not be too long.
but even then - WDW prices are high!!!
