That is what I was thinking too. Who would even do such a thing?!? I have never in my life ever heard of someone doing this, much less a parent/step-parent of a child. Was she on drugs or something?

That poor boy. I pray that he fully recovers & that she does time for this. His dad needs to get all of his children far far away from a person like that.

Dakota has been in surgery for most of the day for internal bleeding and to repair a depressed skull fracture. He is still critical but stable. He will have some brain damage but the extent is not known but they do expext him to live.

This happened in Monroe, Ga.

If she didnt call 911, who did? how did they find him? This poor kid!!! Was it in the papers?

She drove him to the hospital after she pulled the car forward off of him. She in essence ran over him twice. This detail came from his twin brother today. The hospital called police once they found out what happened. We don't know why she didn't just slide dakota out from under the car. As all the kids continue to relay more details, we become more and more baffled.

the accident has not made it to the local papers yet because it happened so late yest evening. I checked the paper for the town his dad lives in.

I do not really know Dakota's dad. His mom and dad were separated when he was born. I have been friends with his mom and her family for close to twenty years. They are loaded for bear.

I don't ask for this often, but a dear family friend needs your prayer and good thoughts tonight. Little 8 year old Dakota is fighting for his life after being ran over by his stepmom tonight.

They were playing a "game" she played where he was standing behind the car, and she floored it and he ran out of the way. His foot slipped and she ran over him. She did not cll 911. The hospital called police after learning of the game.
She has ben arrested.

He has ben life flighted from a rural hospital to a childrens hospital in a coma with a brain bleed and swelling, multiple internal injuries, and numerous lacerations and abrasions. He is on life support.

Dad was at work when this happened

O.M.G I hope they throw her under the jail. This is waaaaay beyond poor judgement.Waaaay beyond stupid. This was a cruel,intentional act. Her poor boy!
