I had posted around Christmastime about my 8 year-old Scottish Terrier, Maggie. We had found out she has an aggressive form of cancer and only had 6-12 months. Well about 3 weeks ago, she has really been slowing down. A week and a half ago, we took her to the vet, thinking we were going to put her down. But the morning of the appt., it was like she was a different dog. She was back to her normal self, which lasted for a few days.
She doesn't eat her food, doesn't eat treats, doesn't want human food. We bought her the wet dog food which she eats a little of....oh and she will eat a little bit of a meat ball. I noticed today her breathing is becoming a bit irratic so I think this might be the last weekend with her.
It's just so heartbreaking because the Maggie we knew just a 6 weeks ago, is not the Maggie we see today. I don't want her to suffer and I'm making her as comfortable as possible. She's just so darn cute!
Cancer is such a terrible, terrible thing.
