Mark Twain

That is one of my favs too!!::yes::

I also like:

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" Eleanor Roosevelt

also:

"Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it." Goethe

I love quotes too. One of my favourites is,

"Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" - Sigmund Freud.

Someone always makes us happy:
Some because they are coming, Some because they leaving

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.
-- Antoine de Saint-Exupery

I have a "quote book" on my computer that I have been compiling since 1994. I think it is about 200 pages by now.

Keep all the good quotes coming!

My favorite one at the moment is

"If it's not one thing...it's your mother"

This is quite true for me at the moment. :p

One that I have to remember pretty frequently
"We gain strength and courage and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face...we must do that which we think we cannot."
~Eleanor Roosevelt

"Life should not be measured by how many breaths you take but by how many moments take your breath away''
(unknown)

"All of our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them"
~Walt Disney

"Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly"
(unknown)

I don't know who originally said this:

"No man is worth your tears and the one who is would never make you cry."

This one is good too:

"No one can make you feel inferior without your permission" (or something like that) -- Eleanor Roosevelt.

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Funny you picked this one... my cousin owns a Day Spa.. It's called Serenity Day Spa... I never knew why she chose that name, but I was there the other day, and I've been going through some... stuff  and she told me about this prayer and why she likes it so much and how it pertains to me. I had never heard that before. I really do like this!!

Like some others here I'm not sure this is my favorite, but it's the one in my mind right now...

"I hear People say 'I'm ready to die for Jesus. I'm ready to die for Jesus.' Great, but where are the people who are ready to LIVE for Jesus?"

-Mike Warnke

(no flames from those of you who know who Mike Warnke is; I don't endorse his ministry, but I really likethis quote... and it's true)

"There is more treasure in books than in all the pirates' loot on Treasure Island... and best of all, you can enjoy these riches every day of your life."

Walt Disney :earsboy:

<b>"Be the poet and let there be music"</b> - My 12th grade English teacher said this to me and it has always had special meaning.

great quotes everyone!

And BTW I like Mike Warnke though I havent heard anything of him since the 80's at least, has his ministry changed so much?

What a scary life that man has had!

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
- Albert Einstein

Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell 'em "Certainly I can!" Then get busy and find out how to do it." Theodore Roosevelt.

This is sort of my mantra in life.

About Mike Warnke, I saw him give a "sermon" concert in the early 90's. His book, the Satan Seller was amazing. It really opened my eyes to spiritual warfare - unfortunately, I recently heard that he admitted to making up alot of stuff that he said really happened. I don't know much else, though. Apparently Cornerstone magazine outed his farce in 1992:

There was also a book written to"out" his farce called Selling Satan.

I went to his official website: www.mikewarnke.org and if you go here: http://www.mikewarnke.org/packet.asp?id=22

You can read his official statement of apology and repentance.

Plus my signature below.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" Eleanor Roosevelt

'Age matters only in wine and cheese'...tea bag!!

'Growing old is mandatory, growing up is not'....don't know by who but I love it!!
