Please post photos of honeymoon suites

Are you getting the free rooms complementary because you are getting married there or what? I'm going for my honeymoon 12 days after my wedding. We currently have a room at Port Orleans French Quarter but are there specific honeymoon suites we can get elsewhere? We never heard anything of this until now. :-D Thanks.

:lovestruc

All of the Deluxe resorts have Concierge rooms, although these are not all suites. But they do include access to all that free food in the Concierge lounge! Anyone might be surprised with an upgrade - you don't have to get married at WDW to experience it, but it's also not guaranteed. It just sometimes happens for people, so it helps to mention on your reservation that you're honeymooning. :)

The way it was explained to me is that you are guaranteed a Standard Free room accommodation. It is depending on availability whether you'll get upgraded to a concierge level.
When we were planning to use our DVC points for honeymoon they assumed we are to continously stay there throughout so they gave us $90 credit (ACK!). So we corrected that and say that we want the complimentary night at GF.
They booked it for us and it's listed in our contract as concierge level room... YAY!!!

So in summary, we are guaranteed 1 night free standard level room but they'll try to upgrade us if it's available.

But if it's listed in the contract as Concierge, that sounds to me like a guarantee.... :confused3

Great pictures of the rooms. If we choose the GF as our free night and our contract states Delux Concierge King room, what type of room will we receive?

Linda

I have a ton of pictures from our room at the Grand in Concierge and it was amazing, I will post some tonight. I thought I had them on Photobucket already, but I was wrong :upsidedow

its listed in our contract as concierge and we have a res number for it so i'm gathering it is!! We are hoping to add another night as we will never be able to afford the gf any other time as its around $4000 each for 14 nights to fly over for the gf

In our contract it says concierge king room. That to me means guaranteed. They give you a reservation number for it.

These are some pictures from the Garden Suites at the Boardwalk. They are concierge but are located downstairs and outside so in order to go to the lounge you need to walk a bit.

In our contract it is listed as:

"(1) complimentary room night in a Honeymoon Room, Old Faithful Club for the bride and groom on...at Disney's Wilderness Lodge."

Does anyone have any pics of a Honeymoon room at WL?

Oh sorry Carrie... I might have confused you.
BEFORE they made the confirmed reservation they cannot guarantee you a concierge level room. But once it's in your contract it is definitely guaranteed... :)

Oh - would love to see some pictures of this room. Thank you so much.

Linda

Hi Linda,

Here are the pictures; I also included some shots of the food at the concierge lounge.

Thanks so much for the photos. It looks like some might be missing - like you put a heading there but there is no photo - but the ones that are there are great.

I was wondering if you are allowed to bring anyone else up to your room - this might be a silly question but I know concierge level is for those guests only. We might want to show some of our bridal party and family our "special" room.

Thanks,
Linda

Hmmmm  I show all the pictures there with the correct headings. I added some more spacing to make it a little easier to read through it, so hopefully that helps.

To be honest, we were at the Magic Kingdom one day and brought some of our family over to check out the room :goodvibes We also went down to the lounge together to grab snacks. Since you have to get to the rooms via a "secret" way they know that anyone who is there has to be a guest. I definitely wouldn't worry if you want to bring some people to check out your awesome room :cool1:

Thanks, all the pictures showed up this time. Maybe I just didn't let them load when I first looked at it. The pictures are great and glad to know we can bring a few friends up with us - i just want to show them how wonderful Disney is and that they give us a great room for free because we are getting married there.

Linda

We stayed Concierge level at the Poly - we were one of those lucky couples who was given extra pixie dust and were upgraded for the whole stay. We were supposed to switch to a standard room after our Complimentary night but when we went to check out they told us to stay where we were for the other 3 nights!

Also - we took people back up to the room with us and nobody tried to stop us.

Just thought of another question. We are only staying atht e GF one night. The night before the wedding and the wedding night we are stay at The Boardwalk Villas (a wedding gift from a friend that owns DVC). The night after the wedding we are using our free night. I would love to stay there one more night to take full advantage of the room and the view. How many nights did you stay there and if you stayed there any extra nights besides the free nights, how much was the room. The GF is not in our room block but maybe I could add it just so we could get the discount - I'll have to check with our planner.

Thanks,
Linda

Glad the pictures showed up this time :) We stayed there two nights- the night of the wedding and then the next day. We didn't have the GF in our wedding block either, but we were still able to book our second night using the wedding discount without adding it to our overall block. I just contacted my planner's assistant. We were suppose to be in a standard room the second night (the cost was $441) but we ended up getting in the concierge again (a long story, pixie dust from our coordinator).

Thanks so much - I just emailed our planner. Our night at the GF is November 11th which is a MVMCP night and we might attend this with some of our guests. If we do this, we would not get back to our room until close to midnight and it seems a shame not to take advantage of the room. I want to sit on that balcony and watch Wishes from our room.

Thanks so much for all your help.

Linda

Wow! Great pics! Both the Boardwalk and GF suites are gorgeous! :goodvibes
Does anyone have pics of the Animal Kingdom Lodge rooms?
