Day 3 update. We got up early again and were at the gates by 7:15am along with several hundred others (sigh, what happened to the days where you could sleep in while staying onsite at Universal).
Ironically we randomely ran into Tink1957 while waiting at the gates. We also started talking with a group next to us later in that turned out to be the owner of DisBoards (Pete) and a couple employees (Walter and an intern). All were great to talk to!
Anyhow, like yesterday, they let us partially in the gates and herded us like cattle near the 2nd bridge (that's where we met Pete and Walter). Right at 8am the madness began again as the Team Members tried to lead the huge herd. The pushing, shoving, and idiots running was worse than yesterday. Universal really needs to get their acts together on crowd control. Somebody is bound to get hurt.
Anyhow, we again entered into WWOHP andjoinwd the rest of the herd straight to Forbidden Journey only to be stopped near the gates because FJ wasn't yet operational. So we waited again, this tome around 20 minutes before they allowed the crowded line into the castle. We ended up stopping yet again between Dumbledores office and the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. We waited with no announcemrs for over 39 minutes until a Team Member finally came around and said FJ was not yet operational for the day. Sigh. Not good Universal. It was another 15 minutes or so before they finally announced that FJ was operational, and maybe 5 minutes before we were finally loaded onto the benches!
I'll save my thoughts inthe ride itself for the Spoiler thread when I get home in a couple days. I will say we finally did ride it at least, but woe, the waiting with lited information was frustrating!
