Please post here if you get into WWOHP before 6/1 on a ROOM ONLY ressie

totally selfish request here....we need to cancel by 6/1 if we are not going to chance seeing WWOHP PRIOR to the official opening
Yes, we have on site ressies @ RPR
yes, we booked in Feb, before 3/25 cut off
No, no HP package, room only
We are currently scheduled to arrive 2 weeks ahead of official grand opening
if possible, we MAY push our date back on the room. but only by a day or 2 due to driving in
why would we consider cancelling you may ask?
Have the $99 7 days tix and hate to burn those if we can't see WWOHP, that low cost ticket is what is allowing us to go
OTOH, we scored the RPR for 125 a night on a PIN, so now that WWOHP is there, when are we going to see THOSE rates again? That rate, like the tix is what is making it possible to go..but yes, as much as we like US/IOA....do not want to blow what is likely our last vac in Orlando for a while and not see WWOHP..ugghhhhhhh...Ihate having a beer budget!


and yes, I know we were taking a risk to HP being open prior to our arrival...that still stands, but if anyone does actually have info down the road, I and many others would love to hear..it just hurts to be SO CLOSE, lol....and yet so far...I guess FJ is the main thing in question, it appears that the "land" will be open...can't imagine them turingng down the opportunity for muggles to shop and spend $!

Lol. We just did the same thing. We booked two dates, one in May and one in early June, so if we hear that there are soft openings we'll book a flight and head down. Otherwise, we'll cancel. Can't wait to hear!

Last year I had my heart set on Rockit for my June trip last year and it was borken. I just hope FJ isn't this year's Rockit.

I think this one will go off without a hitch or delay.I watched the Ellen video and it looks complete.Now as far as the FJ ride,who knows.But Uni is got alot of time left to work out the kinks!!

Hi Tina!!!!!!!! August will be great...we have to go in June, tied in with family stuff. ( even tho I have to return to Sarasota in Aug to get DD back to school) I am so torn on what to do, but I htink we are going to just keep the hotel and do other things if it looks like WWOHP won't be available to us during our whole stay...just hate to burn the tix . It wil be hard to be so close and not go in, but SW is close by, and then drive to WDW for some days, just *** on to the tix we have. That is the beauty of the discount we have at RPR, gives us just a little wiggle room

We are in Orlando for 19 nights in a Condo and leave for home again on 18th June - Official Opening Day!!!!! What bad luck!!!!

We have booked into the RPR for one night on 13th June, in the hope that we may get into the new world.

We have to cancel by 8th June if we don't want to keep the ressie, so I'd love to hear if anyone gets in before this time too.

We arrive June 1st onsite for just one night/day, and were told we would get a preview but they had no way of knowing what that would involve and we might not know until we arrived. Which makes sense, they can't say now what will be up and running June 2nd. But I'm confident we'll see something.

We arrive at the HRH early afternoon on 5/28 and are there until 5/31 on a room only ressie that I booked back in January.

I'm one of the lucky few to have a written email response from management at the HRH that we will indeed have full preview access to WWOHP throughout our stay.

I'm hopeful they'll make good on that promise, as we would have canceled the ressie and booked later in the year if they hadn't written back stating we would indeed have access.

I'll try to post what happens sometime on the 28th, maybe off my iPhone while in the park.

Is that how it was worded from management, that you would have access during your entire stay? I just received an email from management at RPR that said we would be invited to an exclusive preview, but it would only be the last day of our stay, which would be May 29. We too are hotel only guests, and we booked our room way back last summer. Our dates of stay are May 27-29. It also did not specify exactly what would be included in the preview. It just seems as though every person at Universal has a different answer depending on who you talk to.

Sun Lover, at least you did receive an email...IN WRITING for access...I wonder if they are going to do the last as a way of folks stayig for thier entire booking, I mean, say you are booked for 5 nights, you get there, and you get to go in on day 1...some may say heck with the next 4 nights, save some cash. If you have to ensure your entire reservation stay...they have you. It does stink if they select the day you go in tho, as touring plans are made, weather can alter plans etc.
Sadly, I have become that pessimistic...Debbie Downer....I need an intervention!

Finfan, you sound like I feel! But after seeing preds' reply I am on . If Universal is telling her that- then we are in too! As long as you fit into their guidelines of booking b4 the announcement of the GO (i.e. b4 march 25) then you are in! At least that is how I will choose to believe.

I am glad that I have something in writing. A Universal rep had told me over the phone we would have access, but when I asked her if she could send me an email to that effect, she said they couldn't put anything in writing at that time, which was probably about 6 weeks ago. Even though we have access to a preview, I don't know if that necessarily means FJ will be up and running. Someone said that in order for WWOHP to open, everything had to be ready and that they would not open one ride at a time. I haven't been able to find out if that is definitely true. I hope you're right that they're stressing the last day or our stay to get us to stay longer. We would stay no matter what, as we didn't even know if HP would be open when we booked this trip, but it would be so frustrating to miss it by a few days. We just have to hope for the best.
