PLEASE PLEASE some tell me Indy going to be open in September!!

What is this? Their fall rehab schedule doesn't mention anything about these?? And what exactly is a "short rehab"? lol I know I've read that Al Lutz usually knows his stuff, sooo....what's going on Disney? :confused3

Al Lutz is an "insider", and often gets information when it's still in the discussion phase. Undoubtedly, this plan will have to pass through several departments at TDA, getting an OK from each that it fits in their schedule, before it becomes official and Disney publishes it. There's always a possibility that it will conflict with some other plan and will change; which is why Disney won't publish it yet. But I trust Al that this is now the most likely scenario.

FWIW.....this was an editor note today from Al Lutz regarding upcoming rehabs. Not sure what to make of it, but thought it was worth sharing since it references Indy....

7/19: The long delayed and much debated redesign for the outdoor track portion of Alice In Wonderland has finally been decided on. The multi-month rehab at Alice is now scheduled to begin September 4th, along with shorter rehabs starting that same day at Indy, Storybookland, and Casey Jr Circus Train. After shorter rehabs, Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain will open as their Halloween versions on Friday, September 14th. - Al Lutz

I called the # & listened to the refurb list twice- holy cow that guy goes through the list quickly!

Anyways, I didn't hear anything about Alice but there was several listed for FL on & off in Sept.

HM will be down 8-27 to 9-13 clearly for the the Nightmare Before Xmas overlay. The BTMRR petting zoo will be down 9-10 to 9-13 and same with Space Mtn- probably again due to the Halloween overlay decor. But one thing that I hadn't heard rumors about was Jungle Cruise. That will be down 7-28 to 8-2 and then again for another date in Aug, which I didn't catch because that automated message went SO fast!

There were also a few listed for DCA but these seemed like shows, Muppets etc.

As another poster said, there was NO mention of Indy or BTMRR- the ride. I didn't have to input any dates as the message that came on was for ALL closures prior to Nov 15th. However, we all know this is subject to change. So I highly suggest that you call 2-4 weeks out from your trip so you'll know for sure. The # I called was 714-781-4636. Thanks OP for posting this!:thumbsup2

No problem.... It was just by chance I hit the wrong button, and found it..
And yes he talk really REALLY fast.. That guy should win award or something:rotfl2:.

I'm sticking with this line up, but won't get my hopes up on getting on Alice or Indy...
I'll be calling every few days... If I hear anything different I'll post..

I was looking at the website they have not listed anything about this?
Would they change it with only a few weeks to go?

I keep wondering the same thing! They have announced their list already, I know it is subject to change... but it seems odd that they would just spring last minute closures on people...Do they REALLY wait until the last second to decide they should refurb something?? You'd think they'd have had this stuff planned out like last year!! :confused3

I hope someone can answer this.... Bump:)

I can't believe all the rumors and predictions and all anybody had to do was call!:rotfl2:
ROFL! I try to convince people all the time to "just call and ask." It seems to get lost/ignored amongst discussions of rumors and speculation. Until it comes from Disney, it's not official.

They don't wait until the last minute, but it may not get finalized until then sometimes. Or... it may get delayed getting updated on the website for whatever reasons.

Also keep in mind, even the best made vacation plans does not stop something happening to an attraction that cannot wait, causing a last minute fix that will hit someone's visit.

Case and point: Post number 3

...DH said, " and there nothing you and your crazy freaky Disney Dis friends can do do keep it open one more day!!!!" ( asking like a 3 year old would in a whinning voice)
" what good is all that time you spend posting and researching if you guys can't even find a loophole to keep one ride open one more day???"
He stated has he stomps off to go take a shower :rotfl2::rotfl2:

My DD said " daddy Disney has to close some rides to make new rides"
Which is what we told her about snow white closing in WDW....
DD -" now you how I feel, when the stuff you say doesn't make me feel better"
I just want you to know that I officially love your family!

- Dreams

Looking good so far.... Any news???

ROFL!

My DD never fails to give me a good laugh...

On our last rip to WDW She told Ariel to be VERY VERY careful.. Disney likes to kill off mommies... :scared::rotfl2::rotfl: and then she went on to list all the of mommies that have been killed in movies..
( for those of you who don't know ariel became a mother in little mermaid 2 )

DD and DH on toon town closing in WDW:
My Daughter asked if we could go back to mickey house and I had to tell her that mickey's house would not be there anymore. My DH chimed in and Said, " Mickey got evicted" :lmao: In this economy mickey and minnie Can't afford Country houses i guess. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

There was a post by a CM on mousewait yesterday that Indy was going to be done from Sept 3th until Dec. 8th. It sounded like they just found out. Of course, nothing on the Disney website.

Last night DH says -" i'm going 3000 miles, 6 hours on plane with a 10 mo., trapped for 6 days with your mother on a boat, and now you tell me the only ride i want to go on might be closed!"
The good news: there is plenty of booze on the boat. ;)
