Just got back from the doctor where he reviewed the radiologist's report on my ultrasound. He picked up two problems.

The first is that my cervix was measuring short, which could indicate incompetant cervix. This can lead to premature labor. The "fix" for this is to basically sew the cervix shut until a few weeks before my due date. I can deal with this. THe second problem, however, has me in a state of near panic. The level of amniotic fluid is low, which, if it continues, would indicate a potential problem with the baby's kidneys and not a good problem.....a really bad one.

He has scheduled me for a repeat ultrasound in three weeks.

I am sure you can imagine how panicky I am feeling right now. I have been pretty much crying since I left the doctor's office, even though he said not to worry right now. :( Well, I am worried and panicky, etc. Please, please say some prayers for me and the baby! If you don't do prayers, then please send all the good thoughts you can muster.

Thanks.

Prayers on their way!

Ohh Kristy...I said a prayer and you are on my prayer list.

I know its easier said than done, but try to follow the doctors orders and not worry too much it.

I hope everything turns out OK. 3 weeks is a long time to wait when you're worried. My best thoughts are on their way.

Many good thoughts and prayers coming your way! {{HUGS}} too!

Sorry to hear about the problem. Anyone would be upset, but since you went through a bad time last time, it's got to be worse for you. I'll be hoping for good news soon!

I only have time to lurk most of the time, but I remember reading about your loss last year and then getting pregnant again. I will be praying that all is okay for you and the baby. When I was pregnant with #3 (I have 5 kids), I was told the amniotic fluid was low and had a few restrictions put on me as well as having to drink a gallon of water a day. I was relieved when the next ultrasound showed that the fluid had increased and it was an uneventful pregnancy. I pray the same for you.

Three teachers at our school this winter all had low amniotic fluid levels........all went on early maternity leaves and all ended up having healthy beautiful babies this spring and early summer. So hopefully all will go well with your baby. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and prayers.:D

{{Hugs}} You and your baby will be in my thoughts.

Around 34 wks I had an ultrasound done to check on the baby due to my high blood pressure. My ultrasound also showed that I had a low fluid level. I was already on bedrest. I was scheduled for another ultrasound a week later and I was told to drink lots of water. When I went back my fluid levels had gone up...not a whole lot, but enough to be considered normal. My DS was born healthy a week ago today...a month early, but he is perfect. I'm sure everything will work out for you, too. :)

You've got plenty of good wishes coming from here, Kristy....
