I am semi-artistic, but computer stupid. I can draw and paint pretty good, but can't create anything on a computer. I've tried downloading photo Impact.. no luck.
But I really need to create some t-shirt transfers. I have a heat machine, printable transfer paper and tons of t-shirts. I have tons of potential buyers if I could just create something worthy. More importantly I want to make some professional looking t-shirts for our family disney trips and for our whole group next year at our Disney fairytale vowrenewal.

I'm willing to buy software, but to be truthful I'm not sure I could work it. What do most of you use? Is there online tutorials to learn how?
I bought the transfer paper through a company that sells the t-shirt transfers. They worked ok, but yellowed and cracked within a few monthes, anyone know a brand that doesn't do that? I do have a brand new Epson photo printer/scanner to use to print. It is awesome! Photos are as good as professionally done ones.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I need all the help I can get.

Thanks,

Crissy

Do you want someone to make the designs or do you just need help with the instructions?

I really want to know how to do it myself, but incase I can't figure it out, I wouldn't mind having someone make the designs for me.

I went to the sticky at the top of this board and followed their instructions pretty closely.

First of all I could not get a clip art to size right on my computer, so I found a design I liked made by someone else (also in the sticky above), copied and pasted it into my photo program. (Photo Explosion Plus). Once there I hit the edit button, then the button for Paint. I chose a color from another spot on the picture and used it to color over the writing on the original picture. Then I chose add text, and typed in the new names and date. Sized them with the little arrows, moved them where I wanted them, and clicked Save. Then I went to print, under properties I selected t-shirt transfer (this program mirror images itself this way). You can also buy transfers that do not need to be printed backwards. Thats what I did, loved them! Wish I new the brand, sorry. You just printed out the design, peeled off the back, stuck it to the shirt, placed a piece of special paper over it and then ironed it on. Worked awesome.

I know this all sounds confusing, but really read the sticky on home made tshirts and I think it will help you alot. Biggest thing is the software you have. I love my photo explosion and it was like $30. It takes a little while to figure a few things out, but it offers more than I will ever need for fun stuff, magazine covers, baseball cards, digital warping and adding rain or snow to pics. Really cool. I bought it at Staples several years ago.

Good luck!
