Please Please give me advice on my Dec waitlist

I know you get waitlist questions all the time, but I've never waitlisted before so this is all new to me, and I am unclear on the chances and all the ins/outs of it all.

I am hoping to stay at a DVC resort 1 bdrm from Dec 4-7. I have a reservation for the first night (the 4th), and a reservation for the last night (the 6th), but there was nothing available in a studio or 1 bdroom at any dvc resort. So I am waitlisted for ANY resort that night.

Do you think I have much of a chance? Do you have any advice for me? Should I quit at the 31 day window or take it to the 7? I have never done this before!!

Since you're in Tampa and not having accommodations onsite that night would be inconvenient but not tragic, you might as well take it to 7. I've had decent luck with things opening up within two weeks of my dates. That being said, that is DVC peak season, so don't be too surprised if it doesn't come through. You might also want to adopt the call occasionally/frequently/constantly strategy as you get closer.

As previously mentioned, I would take it to seven (even maybe day by day after that). I just had a waitlist come through on the seventh day!

My waitlist for Dec. 13-16 for OKW 2 bedroom just came through yesterday!! So there's hope!!

That's the weekend they are filming the ABC Disney Christmas Parade at MK - (Fri and Sat I believe)...I think that's why everything is so booked. Anything can happen though
