Please pass the Prozac...............

I can't wait to hear about your MIL's reaction to the big surprise. I hope you feel better soon.

Check out my ticker. I am going to start a pre trip report today. I tell you about it there.

Ok, sorry about the cliffhanger.;)

Right after we booked our trip, I ordered a shirt for mil from Zazzle that said "my 1st trip to disney world". I wrapped that up in a very plain package thinking she'd pick it last. Wrong. She went straight for that one first.:rotfl2: We had told the kids the night before, not to say anything! We wanted to see how long it would take her to figure it out.

As she started to open it we were all quiet. The kids looked so excited!

She opened it.......stared at it for a second, looked at us............looked back at the shirt. This went on for almost a minute.
Finally, she looked at D.Jay with a big grin on her face and aked..."does this mean what I think it does?"

The kids practically yelled in unison....."we're taking you to disneyworld!" It was really funny.

She got more excited as the day went on.............and there was alot of day left because the kids woke us up at 5!!!:headache:
We watched most of the disneyworld parade. She nearly lost it when she found out she got to go to epcot too!:yay:

The day went great! But little did I know, she had told her oldest son and wife about the trip. Earlier I mentioned that I was afraid of them wanting to go at the same time...remember that? Well, when she told them that we were taking her, sister in law got all excited and wants to go at the same time too!:scared1: She even told mil how great it would be to have someone to sit with her and the baby while others were on the rides..............um, I don't think so.
I love brother and sis in law and enjoy spending time with them......but not on vacation! Right now, I'm just praying that they don't decide to go. MIL told me that sis in law wants me to call her...........there ain't no way in hades I'm going to! I told D.Jay it's his family so he should deal with it!:headache: MIL doesn't even realy want them to go at the same time. They just add so much stress, because they bicker and fight non stop! Besides the fact that I've planned for months and have adr's that I"m not canceling and the likelihood of being able to add another 7 people is about a snow balls chance in hell!

Ok, now that I've gotten that out, I'm just going to keep praying that it was just a spur of the moment thing and nothing will come of it. If it turns out that they do go..........well, you'll probably hear a report of a crazed woman and an incident with the in laws at the happiest place on earth.

Here's a few pictures from christmas.....

:sad2: Oh my, I am so sorry about the In-Laws. The nerve of her telling your MIL that she would stay behind and babysit her and the baby!!

I hope their idea just sort of fizzles out and you dont have to worry about it.

Did Ethan ask for easy cheese for Christmas??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I LOVE that stuff!!

He does love it! Santa put some in his stocking. He nick named the stuff Bob several months ago.:rotfl2:

That is too funny! You always take such great pictures and I hope that one day I run into your crew at the World. I hope and pray that your SIL and BIL don't go.

I loved your Christmas pictures. I hope you SIL doesn't go at the same time as you. Your MIL should be able to go to Disney World in peace. She might want to ride the rides instead of sit with a baby. Courtney loves easy cheese too. She puts it on Chicken in a Biscuit Crackers.

I just have to throw this in to make you laugh. I just noticed Grace is looking at her reflection in the tv because it is off. She is saying "Hi" and waveing to herself.

Thanks!

Noooooooo, your SIL cannot invite herself on YOUR vacation just because she thinks she'd be getting a built in babysitter! The nerve! If you get roped into talking with her about it make sure you tell her, in a very dark, reserved tone how saddened you are that if they WERE to plan a trip in unison to your own that you wouldn't be able to see them most of the day, what with all the completely booked reservations you already have and such. Shucks, darn it, too bad.

Cherie loved the ending to the Cliffhanger !! Sure hope the inlaws don't tag along !! Hubby better tell his family that MIL is not going to babysit unless they want to pay her way !!!

Actually, sis in law thinks I'll be the one sitting with her.:sad2: If we were going anywhere else I'd be fine with them tagging along. They've only been to dw once about 9 years ago and didn't really "get" it. Of course they went in the hight of summer with a 4 year old, she was pregnant and they did no planning. It's what my nightmares are made of!

Cherie !:scared1: That ain't gonna happen !!!:rotfl2:

Your SIL is too much! Make D.Jay tell her no in no uncertain terms.

On to happier thoughts...

So excited that your MIL is so excited!

Cute photos of the kids -- ours woke us up at 5:30 so I understand your pain.

Cherie - first the best surprise ever, then the worst! I love your MILs reaction! My DSIL invited themselves along on our family cruise we were supposed to take with MY grown kids, which was pretty much okay - Then she invited my parents, whom I DO NOT want to cruise with:eek: Well, I just kind of went along with it, then told them later that we wanted to send mom and dad to Alaska not the Caribbean, but we would let them know about our cruise. We just didn't call them until it was too late to book it - then we didn't go anyway:rotfl2:

Well I'm glad that she liked that surprise! I mean who wouldn't.. and I love the Mickey on her shirt-its different and cute! I have a shirt with the same style Mickey and Minnie together. I love it. About you SIL, I'm sorry about that. It would be a sticky situation to be in.. I remember when my DH, my DF at the time decided to go to wdw, and at first we thought it would be great to invite as many people as we could.. because were thinking- sharing our fav. place with loved ones with be soo fun.. right?! ;) Well long story short- no one ended up going with us and I'm glad that they didn't. It's so much easier when its just us. I can plan everything and we do "exactly" what we want to do- and don't have to worry about anyone else's issues or ideas! hehe My parents have decided that really want to go on a family vacation- since its been about 8 years since we've went on a TRUE family vacation- not counting camping and stuff.. My mom suggested a cruise- and I suggested a land and sea combination for disney! :rotfl: Everyone is gang-ho about it! :thumbsup2 Since I'm going to Disney World in June and my parents aregoing on a cruise in about 30 days, we are planning it for 2 years.. so it won't be a while! But I'm actually excited about going with them.. they are all easy going! and will let me do the PLANNING!!! hehe Anywho.. I look forward to reading more! :surfweb:

I started my pre trip report. Come over when you get a chance. I just wish I was going at the same time as you.

My mom spent one day (Epcot) with us last year on our Dec 07 Disney vaca and she was a trooper....we rushed to Soarin, had a looong wait and she complained a little about the wait time, but enjoyed the rest of her day in Epcot with us. (She's a snowbird so it was nice to see her around Christmas)

Your title got me and I'll be keeping up with this post!
