I grow a little weary of the "don't go if you don't like crowds." What a perfectly acceptable way to warn people off. There is never so much concern for others being subjected to crowds as there is over this week in June.
Many families can ONLY go over summer vacation, and they're looking for one of the less crowded times of the summer. They will not find it that week. It IS very crowded, and I will personally continue to relay that advice.

Warn people away from spring break, Fourth of July, Christmas, NYE, most of summer, too if that is your true intent; not just that one week in June.
As I said above - those are the times when kids are off of school. Hence, crowds will always be large. People are trying to plan when they're going to hit the least of those very large crowds. And in that case, I will continue to suggest the last weeks of August.

Can't we ever just let it go? Can't we ever just have no remarkable discussion about this time of year?
Someone praised this thread for not being a bashing one. Well, no-it's not openly bashing anyone. But to think that many of the comments here do not give extreme offense is to be incredibly naive.
No - it cannot just be let go.
This is a Disney World message board, with new registrations EVERY day. And invariably, every year, there will be new people who don't have experience and have legitimate questions concerning Gay Days. Many of these people, as the original poster said, have those concerns because openly gay people are not part of their everyday lives.
I shouldn't need to prove myself, but almost all of my male friends are gay, and I frequently support many gay causes. I just went to a concert of the Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus. So if my comments still come across as "extremely offensive", then there's nothing that I can do. But perhaps before you make comments like that, you should appreciate that with THOUSANDS of different registrants, there's likely to be varying opinions, and people coming from different places.
